About John Richards
Hi I'm John & with help from my little daughter & also my mother, father & uncle we run a traditional hill farm with native breeds, Devon Ruby Red Cattle and Exmoor Horn Sheep roaming the Exmoor upland pastures. We realise that we live in a uniquely beautiful part of the UK and would like to share it with others. I don't spend enough time standing & staring but when I do I see the ever changing beauty as the seasons roll on by & am thankful to be another generation to make a living from this place & I hope I can pass it on to the next generation to love it as I do.

Peaceful and tranquil O
Outstanding setting, very comfortable and peaceful
Awesome view. Lovely cottage.
Quiet location and comfortable cottage. Warm welcome. Well equipped and the amenities you could want. Highly recommended.
The property was very nice with beautiful views. Right out in the country, glorious walks and so peaceful with only country sounds, like skylarks and sheep calling their young. All facilities one needed and spotlessly clean. A lovely private garden. We had a very happy week there and were very lucky with the weather.
A cosy cottage in a quiet location with great views of Porlock Bay
We stayed for a week in this comfortable cottage on a farm in the hills above Porlock Weir. We only have positive things to say about the cottage and its location: a good base for walking trips up onto Dunkery or down through the woods to the coast. Also in easy reach of all of Exmoor and the West Somerset steam railway from Minehead into the Quantock Hills.
We loved our stay here. The views over the coastline are superb and we enjoyed hiking from the cottage itself. The interior is very comfortable and we found the location in Exmoor to provide many great walking destinations.
So glad you enjoyed your time here. This ares is definately a hikers dream.
Hope you had a safe journey home. John
