Lochalsh Lodge is a splendid recently built house in a superb setting within the National Trust conservation area of Lochalsh Woodland Walks. The house enjoys panoramic views over Lochalsh to the Isle of Skye, Kylerhea and the distant mountains of Knoydart. A path leads down to the sea which is less than 50 metres away. The property comprises of a large open plan sitting room / dining room / kitchen and utility room. Master bedroom with en-suite and dressing room, three further double bedrooms all with en-suite facilities and a study. The house is of a high specification including granite worktops, hand painted kitchen units and an island unit with a solid oak worktop. The sitting room features a Jotul wood burning stove. All the stylish en-suites benefit from underfloor heating and large shower enclosures. Lochalsh Lodge is an ideal base for exploring the Skye and Lochalsh area. With the Skye bridge only three miles away the many attractions of Skye are on the doorstep whether for the more adventurous the Cuillin Mountains or to visit the renowned Talisker Whisky Distillery. The picturesque village of Plockton is fifteen minutes drive and offers several good restaurants and boat trips for seal watching. The world famous Eileen Donan Castle (filmed as a James Bond HQ) is only minutes away. The area benefits from extensive outdoor activities including walking, hill climbing, golf, canoeing and water sports (private mooring available). There is an abundance of wild life in the vicinity with many birds including the sea eagle (one of Britain’s largest birds). Otters and pine martins are often seen from the house. There are excellent travel links to the area. Kyle of Lochalsh which is five minutes away has regular bus and train services and many facilities including a large supermarket, local shops, leisure centre, etc. For someone looking for a luxury Highland holiday in a stunning setting Lochalsh Lodge is the place for you.

Spectacular views and location in a wonderful house

In all honesty, everything around this property is wonderful. Clean, tidy and fully equipped house with all needed comforts and luxury. Nicely decorated, warm atmosphere and it always felt like coming home after our day trips in the countryside.

It is truly a fabulous house. And the location is superb. Magnificent views on the loch, close to local forest, walking possibilities and very close to local shops and restaurants.

A perfect starting point for the endless possibilities in the neighborhood. We will surely come back to this house in the future.

Perfect!

This very well equipped house was perfectly suited for our week long visit to Skye. With each room ensuite and a large open plan ground floor, with amazing views, we were extremely comfortable. It was no hassle to prepare meals in the well equipped and spacious kitchen. Wednesday morning we went on guided walk with Gav from the National Trust, which started from the National Trust gardens just down from the house. A hidden gem for sure!

Lovely, well equipped house with great views.

House was modern and very well equipped with great views. No shortage of anything. Wifi worked although slow. There is no real enclosed garden which means it is not the best for dogs. Wonderful views over the loch. Unfortunately the weather was dreadful and so bad we cut our trip short by 2 days.

Every detail has been taken care of. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

Celebrated my wife's 60th birthday and my Grandson's 2nd birthday during our stay.
