We live and work in St Ives and have never wanted to live anywhere else!
Tiddles Cottage is co hosted by myself and my adult son and we really care about this tiny cottage.
Downalong is a fantastic place to live and a great base for a holiday.
We chose TIDDLES because of the location and because it is a is a small cottage that is what we wanted, a tiny piece of St Ives to turn into a little gem of a property. Small yes, but cosy and stylish being almost opposite the famous Barbara Hepworth Sculpture Garden and Trewyn sub tropical gardens the cottage has peace and quiet yet within a couple of minutes you are in the hub of everything St Ives has to offer. A huge benefit of staying at TIDDLES is not needing to use the car!
This cottage was purchased for its peaceful location yet within minutes you are in the hub of everything St Ives has to offer. We loved the cottage because it was small! thats the charm. Please don't expect straight walls and stairs, this is an OLD cottage and we have left its St Ives character.
St Ives is unique and once you have visited you will always want to return.
This is the perfect location if you wish to walk to visit everything in St Ives.
You can walk to the
pubs and bars
stylish unusual shops
or just enjoy the coastal paths and views
The cottage was easy to find using the instructions given by the owners and the guide to the best restaurants and places to go was invaluable. A well stocked hamper welcomed us on our arrival and the cottage had everything we needed for our mini honeymoon and some more including a smart TV for when the weather wasn't so kind! We would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a lovely cottage within a minutes walk of the centre of St Ives and all that it offers. Easily 5*
Lovely little cottage. Perfect location & nice little welcome hamper.
The cottage was clean, modern and very comfortable. Great location just a few minutes walk to the centre of St Ives
Thank you, we had a fantastic stay at Tiddles, location is an excellent two-minute walk in the High Street and Beach. Car Parking very close but limited spaces available , you are the best parking your car up and not using it for the rest of your stay . We made the mistake of using the car and when we came back we were like the Seagulls waiting to find a space!
The Cottage itself is great we had a welcome goody basket waiting for us , milk in the fridge , soaps, shampoo and shower gel all provided a very very nice touch.
Would DEFINITELY stay here again.
Lovely clean and central cottage in a quiet lane. Tiny well thought out kitchen has everything you need including somewhere to hang wet things outside. Hamper on arrival a nice touch and very appreciated. Love the decor with good quality interiors. Communication by txt great and couldn't have been more helpful, even inviting us to check in on a earlier time.
Managed to park in a side lane some distance away where we always park when in St.Ives after having unloaded car but there was a car park nearby.Didn't use the car in the 3 days we were there as made the most of the lovely coastal walks. Sure we'll be back again!
I would just like to say that I had a perfect stay this July in the beautiful cottage appropriately named Tiddles. Tucked away up a quiet street surrounded by the walled gardens of artist Barbara Hepworth, there is nothing that a couple (or individual like myself) could want for as 'everything' has been carefully thought out and presented.
I highly recommend Tiddles as a quiet romantic retreat and I would like to take this opportunity to thank Lesley for her care and attention and for a memorable stay.
Good luck with the future and I hope to visit you again one day x
Kind regards, Mandy x (from the Wirral)
