A charming one bedroom self-catering apartment for up to 4 people, furnished with comfortable new beds, and lovely soft furnishings, together with comfortable sofa bed and armchair.

It is situated on the top (second) floor of an attractive chalet style building of only six apartments, with parking and free WiFi with fast internet access. There is a large wrap around South and East facing balcony which gets the morning and afternoon sun and from which are stunning views of the valley.

It is only a short walk into Morzine town centre with its great shops, bars and restaurants, and around 6 to 7 minutes to the Pleney and Super Morzine ski lifts - with ski boots on! The nearest supermarket is conveniently located at the bottom of the road.

The bedroom has large comfortable pocket-sprung beds which can be configured as two (3') singles or as a superking double (6') with access to its own balcony which catches the afternoon sun. The living area is dual aspect allowing plenty of light into the apartment and has high ceilings and beams.

It is possible to ski back to within 100m of the chalet, conditions permitting.

About Tony Burns

The apartment is owned by Tony and Mark. As brothers we were lucky enough to live in the South of France for a few years when we were children. At that time we developed a passion for skiing. We recently had the opportunity to acquire our own place for ourselves and our families. Having been on many a ski trip ourselves, we realise the importance of having somewhere comfortable to relax in the evenings and get a good night’s sleep. It is with this in mind that we have furnished the apartment. We think it is a great apartment in a great location and we hope you will enjoy it.

A short stroll to ski lifts and town centre. Morzine is at the heart of the largest ski area in Europe and is fantastic for families and experts alike. It is situated in a simply beautiful valley, surrounded by stunning mountains with lots going on both summer and winter, incredible local amenities, and has a uniquely friendly atmosphere with amazing bars and restaurants. It is also easily accessible by car, plane or train.

What makes this apartment unique

A great location for the town with its shops, bars and restaurants. Ski lifts within easy walking distance, no car or ski-bus required. It is even possible to ski back to within 100 metres of the apartment on a blue run when conditions allow. The apartment is comfortable, bright and well-equipped and has uninterrupted views across the valley.

Changeover day is Saturday although there may be some flexibility outside of peak times. For further information please contact owners. Please note that all linen, towels, and after stay clean are included in the price as well as local taxes. Beds will be made up prior to arrival. There is a good size balcony with table and four chairs to relax and soak up the views. Ski locker on ground floor. Good size entrance hallway with radiator, large wardrobe and plenty of hanging and storage space. Large wrap around balcony with wonderful views across the valley accessible from living room. There is also a communal garden. We respectfully ask guests to leave the property as they would expect to find it and be mindful of other occupants.

Second time round, just as good as ever!

We returned to this apartment this year because it is such a great place to stay. The position is excellent - quiet, yet only 5- 6 mins walk to the centre of town. The flat itself is cozy, charming and very well equipped with masses of storage. The owners return emails promptly and leave lots of useful information in the flat. We had a great week here once more and I'd thoroughly recommend it. (For one couple it's perfect and I'd happily stay as a family of four, but for two couples it might feel a bit too cozy.)

If you haven't been to Morzine I urge you to try it - it's got endless pistes and tons of great restaurants, in town and on the mountains, much better value than Trois Vallees.

Absolutely fantastic apartment

We had a recommendation of this apartment from friends of ours who had stayed there once already and re booked it for their ski trip.

We stayed in the apartment for our recent ski trip having been to Morzine a couple of times previously.

The apartment is just fantastic. It literally has everything in it you could ever need.

They literally have thought of everything. There is so much storage space and loads of useful hooks. There was even a clothes horse which came in useful one day when we got soaked through on the mountain.

We have always stayed in catered chalets before but this has changed our minds.

It was so nice to be able to please ourselves and relax in the evenings. We only actually cooked a meal twice but it was nice to eat at a time of our choice whether staying in or going out. It was also nice to not get kicked out early in the morning.

The wifi is excellent.

We used a ski hire shop where we could leave our skis and boots in so we could have a comfy walk to the bar and walk home however if you were to walk back in your boots it wouldn't be too much trouble.

It was good to have English TV and a balcony to relax on with a glass of wine or coffee !

There are some superb restaurants and bars in Morzine.

We can not recommend this apartment enough and would be great to come back for some mountain biking or walking in the summer.

Perfect

The location is ideal. A few minutes walk to the Pleney lifts, to the centre of town and to the nearest supermarket. Only about 5 minutes to the Super Morzine lift and the Sports Centre with stunning views from the balcony across the town and of the surrounding hills. The property has the feel of caring owners who have considered what they would want during a stay and have then provided it. Lots of pegs, shelves and wardrobe space and a real first for the three of us to find more hangers than we needed. Comfortable beds, good quality bedding and linen and soft towels. The kitchen area was well fitted out, and anything not provided was only because people wouldn't need it. Also plenty of light fittings so really good to be able to read at night without peering into a gloom. We made full use of the multi pass which was a real bonus and all in all this was a wonderful holiday. As perfect as it was for the summer this location must be amazing for skiing trips. We didn't want to leave and can't wait to return.

Great Morzine apartment

We are a couple who rented the apartment for a week at the end of June. The apartment was exactly how it appeared in the photos, certainly more spacious than we expected with more than enough room for 2. The apartment was very clean, very well equipped for self-catering, and nice to dine on the wrap-round balcony. The location, in our opinion was perfect, just outside the bustle of the centre but just a short walk from bars, restaurants and shops. The information booklet in the apartment also gave some good pointers for restaurants and bars. In all we had a great week and would highly recommend the apartment to anyone wanting a break in Morzine. Finally, the apartment is easy to find and if you are driving, there is plenty of private residents' parking, and the multi pass is excellent value, it's the best value for lift passes that we have found in the Alps so far.

Sweet cosy little flat

You can tell the owners use this flat themselves, because it's incredibly well-equipped, has masses of hooks, shelves and storage, and everything's been done to make it comfortable. It's quite small - fine for two but I wouldn't have liked there to be 4 of us, but I'm old and picky, when I was younger I'd've found it fine for 4.

At first the wifi was very slow - we emailed the owners about it they replied very promptly, within a couple of hours. We switched it off and on again, then wifi was strong.

The flat's in a good location and has a great mountain view. And inside, it has a lovely atmosphere and nice furnishings. I highly recommend it and would definitely stay there again.

Clean, comfortable, great location and lovely view

Morzine is a great place to holiday. Lots of great outdoor activities and lovely lakes to swim in near by. The apartment was immaculately clean with nice alpine furnishings. We were very comfortable and felt very at home. It has a "cared for" feel about it. It is very central to the town, about 2 minutes walk and has lovely views from the main windows. We had a great holiday.

Travel:

Morzine is easily accessible from Geneva airport which is just over an hour away by road. There are regular shuttle bus services available. The central location means that a car is not essential as all amenities are within short walking distance.

It is about an 8.5 hour drive from Calais, motorway virtually all the way.

Further Details:

Morzine is open all the year round and offers an incredible range of activities. It is situated in a beautiful valley comprising a number of smaller villages. The people are extremely friendly. It comes alive in the winter and summer months with plenty of nice shops, restaurants, bars, and ski and snowboard shops, banks, medical centre, supermarkets and specialist shops selling local cheeses and meats and other local craft shops.

Summer activities include, mountain biking (which is now hugely popular), hiking, white water rafting, paragliding, canyoning, mountain climbing and Via Ferrata, horse riding and other activities.

There is also a fabulous swimming pool complex with both indoor and outdoor (50m) pools in the heart of the town alongside which are numerous tennis courts.

There are also indoor and outdoor ice rinks.
