Chalet in Montriond, Nr. Morzine, Haute Savoie, Rhone-Alpes, France - Short Drive To Portes Du Soleill Ski Lift And Short Walk To Local Amenities

Chalet Colette is located in Montriond, near Morzine. It provides 1,200sq.ft habitable floorspace and has two double bedrooms and one spacious bunk-bed twin room. Chalet Colette sleeps six people comfortably. Living areas have vaulted ceilings and a wood burning stove, for winter warmth. A games room is located on the ground floor, providing table tennis. The Chalet is south facing with a private garden and balcony benefiting from direct sunshine all day.

All bookings are Saturday to Saturday. Please contact us if you have any specific requests as we may be able to accommodate these particularly out of season.

About Faye Wright

Hi, we are the proud owners of Chalet Colette in Montriond, just outside Morzine. We have been dreaming of owning our own chalet in the Alps since we got together in our late twenties and share our love of skiing. We have skied in many places in Europe before deciding that "Les Portes du Soleil" was absolutely our favourite place. The ski area is huge, the mountain restaurants are fabulous and reasonably priced plus the area never seems to get too busy. We finally realised our dream in 2014 and bought Chalet Colette (do visit our website for more information about the chalet). If you are not a ski fan, this part of the Alps is wonderful in summer as well. Lake Montriond is just up the road. We hope you enjoy our Chalet as much as we do. Faye and James

Chalet Colette in Montriond has easy access into the highly desirable and cosmopolitan town of Morzine. It is in easy reach of Geneva airport, the mountain restaurants in this area are authentic and reasonably priced, the ski area is vast, lift pass pricing is competitive relative to other major resorts and we love France. Our chalet is located outside the hustle and bustle of town, providing quiet and private environment which is great for young families, but is within easy reach of bars and night-life in Morzine centre. Perfect!

What makes this chalet unique

We can walk into town to get our croissants each morning, or pick up a pizza if we're feeling lazy. Supermarket is just down the road. But importantly, the main Ardent ski lift station is just 8 minutes away and provides ample car parking and gives access right into the heart of the vast Portes Du Soleil ski area. In summer the walks are just fabulous and the trails are expertly marked, taking in views through the mountains and river valley. But most of all we love simple things in life; lunch, high in the mountains in the spring sunshine with a carafe of vin rouge, enjoy!

Outside: Private garden to the side and rear of the Chalet, off-street private parking, balcony at first floor level providing views over the hills and sunshine all day. Utility Room: Washing machine, clothes rail, ironing board and iron. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Professionally cleaned towels and linen are not included but can be arranged via our agents and changed weekly. Guests are expected to clean the chalet to an acceptable standard when they leave . Other: Games room is located at ground floor and provides family entertainment, table tennis.

Special interest holidays:

All types of winter activities are available in the local areas in Morzine, Lets gets and Avoriaz. In summer, hill walking is abundant, lifts remain open during high season allowing walks high into the mountains and lunching at mountain restaurants. Summer mountain biking is very popular and golf, swimming in the mountain lake, Lac Du Montriond, and kayaking are all popular activities.


Geneva airport is located just over an hours drive and provides the best flight option, throughout the year. Hiring a car at the airport is preferable although there are several mini-bus shuttle operators who provide direct transfer services to at a cost of only 40-50 Euros per person, prices may vary.

Driving from UK is manageable and takes about 12 hours, speed dependent.

Local mini-market shop, pizzeria, bar, hotel & restaurant and cash machine are all located in Montriond centre, just 1km from the Chalet, a 10 minute walk or 1minute drive. Carrefour Supermarket is located in Saint Jean D'Aulpes, 5.9 kms, 5 minutes drive. Morzine provides cosmopolitan bars and restaurants and nigh-life and is just 2.8 kms away, just 3-5mins drive.
