Studio, furnished to high standard, One Bathroom, ground floor, Sleeps 2. The Workshop is a lovely, small ground level studio flat attached to the owner's property located one mile outside of Aldbury, with fine country views in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Deer can often be seen crossing the fields in front of the property. It has its own entrance via a garden door and there is a fenced garden with space to sit outside. The property has been tastefully furnished with quality fittings for a comfortable stay. The fully equipped kitchen space contains sink/drainer, storage, ceramic hob and electric fan oven, fridge/ icebox, toaster and kettle. Although there is no washing machine, arrangements may be made with the owners, next door, to use their machine. There is a small dining table and two stools, plus two armchairs, and coffee tables. There is a wood burner which burns locally sourced logs, a flat screen TV with Free serve and DVD player, Radio; Wi-Fi; variable cell-phone reception.
I originally come from Cape Town, South Africa, but have been letting our holiday cottages since 1995. My husband's family have had the farm since the 1930's. Many of our guests have enjoyed staying with us from all parts of the world and appreciate the beautiful countryside around us and there is always plenty to do..

Golding`s Spring Workshop is well located for day trips to Oxford, Cambridge and London. Car: necessary
London is only 40 minute train ride away, with a wealth of attractions for the visitor. More locally both Ascott House and Waddesdon Manor are 10 minutes and 30 minutes away respectively.
If you prefer more Medieval History, Warwick Castle or Hampton Court are both accessible (but in opposite directions!) and both offer medieval entertainment at certain times of the year.
The Studio is in a stunning area of outstanding beauty - much of it conservation areas. You are pretty much guaranteed to see wildlife on your stay here! The picturesque village of Aldbury is only a mile away and has two very good pubs serving food, and a general store.
The village has been used as a film location in many movies, including Bridget Jones, Midsomer Murders and Robin Hood was shot nearby too. Tring is only a little further away, with more restaurants, an M&S Simply Food and a Tesco

We request one third of the rental on booking, and the remainder 8 weeks in advance of the start of the booking.
There is a £25 booking fee.
Payment can be made on line, by card, or over the phone. There is a 2% fee for credit cards (3.5% for American Express) and no fee for debit cards.
Arrival time is from 3pm, departure time is before 10am.
Please note this property has a one week minimum booking length, and this increases to two weeks at Christmas.

Please note that although we try to update the availability, it may not be accurate, so please email us. We have seventeen cottages on the same site as our office, and also look after bookings on others in the area, so hope to be able to offer you another property.
