We own Stardance along with some friends. We are on the island as much as possible.
Chuck Brazik purchased this house in 2005
We love the quiet, fishing, kayaking and generally relaxing on the island. We live in Gulf Harbour on the mainland when we are not on the island.
We stay in Stardance so we make sure that they are ready for you and us. Stardance has big porches with beautiful views of the Pine Island Sound.
Hope this contact finds you well. My article was finally published on Trekaroo. here is the link. Please share it as you see fit!

What a wonderful time we had at Stardance! We really lucked out with the weather (high 70s six days in a row), and the island was really magical. I loved how remote the house was north of the landing strip. We had two families of 4 with kids ranging from 4-8 years old. The kids got to explore a bit on their own and we saw so much wildlife (dolphins, manatees, turtles, and tons of birds). The few planes coming in and out were also incredible, especially from the crow's nest, which also provided us with access to sunrises and sunsets! The house was everything we needed and Charlie and Suzanne were really on top of a few things that needed fixing after the previous guests. It was seamless and didn't disrupt any of our plans. As well, the trip from Fort Myers to the water taxi to the island was a piece of cake. I was a little nervous about all of the logistics needed regarding transportation, groceries, etc., but the local businesses operated like a well oiled machine, and Charlie and Suzanne provided us with lots of good information. Thank you for an amazing vacation spot our family will never forget!
The house was immaculate. It had everything you would need for the week. Beach chairs, beach toys for the kids and the kitchen fully stocked. Next time we go to North Captiva we will surely rent this house.
We booked this stay when our Vieques, PR plans were canceled due to the hurricane. It was easy to get an Uber to get to/from the Marina. We pre-ordered groceries through Walmart. Our driver did not mind stopping to pick up our items. We did have to bring our own hot/cold bags for transport. No problem at all. The owner helped make the process seamless. Once we got to the island all the stress of traveling to a new place quickly melted away. The golf carts and trailer where there waiting just as promised. Our very first thought was that the photos of this house do not do it justice...at all. It is gorgeous inside! It had all the amenities listed and more. The owners thought of everything. Kids loved the waffle maker and adults loved the margarita maker. We discovered late in the week that we could have ordered fresh fish from Pine Island, we will definitely do that next time. The crows nest was a bit intimidating at first but the top rewarded that bravery with the most unbelievable 360 view of the tropical paradise. The sunsets and sunrises were some of the most beautiful I've ever seen. Golf carts were a bit quirky but it made no difference to us as we were thankful to have them. If you decide to visit here take the time to hike to the Southern most part of the island. You will not get a more real, raw, untouched beach experience in the US. The shells on this Island are amazing, every bit as good as Sanibel, perhaps even better because less people travel here. We loved seeing the manatees, tortoises, all the different birds and native wildlife up close. There were books, games and puzzles that kept us busy in the evenings. The kids had a great time fishing all week. The wrap-around decks on this property are great. I was able to watch the sunrise from the bed in the master bedroom each morning; two sets of doors in the room with one leading out to a screened in deck and the other a hammock surrounded by peace and only the sounds of the ospreys in the distance. Absolute. Serenity. This is not the vacation for you if you like the hustle & bustle of a commercial coastal beach experience. If you are looking for a vacation to rest, relax, rejuvenate and reconnect with your family this is the place to go! Thanks to Chuck for allowing us to stay and make great memories!
Fully outfitted, beautiful views, relaxing & easy, nice open kitchen/living/main deck. This rental was everything we hoped for. Also, good advice from the nice owners for 1st timers- about the ferry, airport transfer, groceries. We enjoyed beach walking, golf-carting, reserve-hiking, the little pool, and lounging on the decks.
A great family experience. The house was very nice and clean. We would recommend it highly.
Everything was great. We had a glitch because I booked the wrong ferry - completely my fault! The house was even better than we expected. The view was amazing. The sunrise from the porch was perfect. The power went out while we were there and the homeowner offered us another house - going above and beyond. The power outage was not his fault. Having two golf carts was really important to us and they worked really well. The roads on the island are rough but it appeared they were working on them. Hated to leave!!!
