Chapel Garth is an imposing property set on the upper part of the High Street at the foot of Staithes Bank adjacent to the Bethel Chapel. The house underwent major renovation work in 2014 which created a fantastic holiday property set over 4 floors. Chapel Garth has been finished to a very high standard and offers many facilities for the holiday maker, but its two key advantages over other cottages in Staithes are parking for up to two cars on a private driveway (we also provide a separate parking permit just in case you have larger vehicles) and a self contained patio to the rear with elevated views over Roxby Beck towards Cowbar. Chapel Garth is set over 4 floors and has spacious living accommodation which is perfect for holidays and short breaks throughout the year. Full central heating and pressurised hot water system. Open fire on ground floor and we provide a complimentary initial supply of logs and kindling October to April inclusive. Free Wi-Fi access. The patio gets afternoon/evening sunshine in the summer months and has a large table and chairs. Chapel Garth enjoys the perfect location in the heart of Staithes with easy access to local shops, pubs and restaurants and is only a short walk to the seafront.

Our holiday at Chapel Garth, Staithes, North Yorkshire.
My husband and I, our two daughters, two young grand-
children and an ageing Cocker Spaniel stayed at Chapel Garth
from the 18th-25th of August, 2018. We fell in love with the house
instantly - it is incredibly spacious and beautifully appointed!
Staithes is a charming old village and made you wish to be a
top-class painter to capture the many attractive images!
From Staithes, it is not far to reach many interesting places,
amongst them Whitby, Guisborough Woodland Park, Salt-
burn-by-the-Sea, Goathland and Robin Hood's Bay, to name
but a few. The grandchildren loved the beach and rock pools,
crabbing and an interesting fishing trip. It was always a joy
to return to the comfort of Chapel Garth and we are already
planning a return visit in the not too distant future!
It was a truly excellent holiday!
Thrilled to see your fabulous review and to read that you all had a wonderful holiday based in Chapel Garth! Hope to welcome you back very soon.
Lovely spacious family house in a very convenient position in the heart of Staithes
We had a brilliant weeks holiday in Staithes over Halloween. The village is very picturesque, has a lovely harbour and has a good variety of pubs, cafes and small shops.
Chapel Garth is a great family holiday house. It is very well equipped and spacious. The downstairs snug is ideal for cosy evenings watching tv or playing board games. One of the greatest bonuses are two parking places which are rare in such a historic village. We thoroughly enjoyed our late autumn break and would strongly recommend staying there.
A great character and spacious property which embraces family and friend groups socialising within it. Xx
Chapel Garth was a fantastic property well equiped and very clean. We had 4 children with us who very quickly took over the downstaires lounge which they thought was great having thier own space. Staithes sea front was lovely and the kids enjoyed crabbing down there and wanted to crab most evenings. Chapel Garth was a good base to explore the coast, a favourite place of ous was Salt Burn a short drive away. I would certainly return to Chapel Garth and would highly recomend it to anyone looking for a lovely family holiday.
Fantastic house located in the middle of this gorgeous village
Thoroughly recommend Chapel Garth for a stay in Whitby. It very comfortably accommodates 4 adults and 4 children and is beautifully appointed. We had a super stay and are already planning a return trip!
