Trip of a Lifetime!

  • 5 of 5

Shirley was amazingly patient while dealing with USA banks to book. The cottage is gorgeous! The inside is very modern. We were fortunate enough to be there while they filmed an episode of "Doc Martin", so we were able to hang with the cast most of the day.

The beds are so comfy, the bathrooms very modern. Shirley has a nice setup of SkyTV and Doc Martin DVD's to entertain yourself at night. You walk in and feel at home. It feels like walking into a very modern boutique home. I miss it already!

Even Martin Clunes himself commented on how nice the place was. Loved talking to the people who stopped by to snap a photo of the famous exterior. We will be back! Aiming for this summer! Don't hesitate to book this gorgeous home!

Fern Cottage, a very special place.

  • 5 of 5

Staying here was on a last minute whim and it turned out to be three days we will never forget. They were using the front of the cottage for filming the Doc Martin series one morning and we got to mingle with some of the cast and crew who were very friendly, ( lucky old us ). The cottage itself was very clean and cosy with amazing views of Port Isaac. Many thanks to Shirley the owner who was most helpful in sorting it all out for us.

Wonderful holiday cottage

  • 5 of 5

We were very fortunate to find this lovely holiday cottage. It has been completely renovated and is clearly the work of an interior decorator who sought to preserve the charm of the original cottage. The home was very warm and inviting and had a fully equipped kitchen. The place was immaculate and everything was in proper working order. The views from the property were amazing. The back garden has a lot of privacy and outdoor chairs to enjoy the view. The owner, Shirley, was very easy to work with in booking the cottage. I highly recommend this cottage.

Wonderful Cornish experience

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Fern Cottage for 4 nights. It was outstanding. The outside is the iconic Doc Martin surgery, while inside is a beautifully updated 2 bedroom home with 1 1/2 bathrooms, a living room, dining room and kitchen. Cottage is clean, and well equipped. We loved watching the Doc Martin dvd's that were thoughtfully provided. Shirley was very easy to work with and provided all necessary info.

A wonderful stay

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay so much that we extended our stay from 9 nights to 11 nights. The cottage is very well equipped with every thing you would need, we even cooked our Christmas dinner there. The cottage is lovely and clean, as we had never rented before we were a little concerned! but every thing was perfect for us, and Shirley the owner was very helpful and obliging. Thankyou. Oh and Port issaac is a wonderful place to visit ,and many surrounding places to visit, we struggled to fit every thing in.

Cutest Cottage in Cornwall

  • 5 of 5

Fern Cottage has to be the cutest cottage in Cornwall. Beautifully furnished in seaside shabby chic style, it offers sublime views from every window across the fishing boats bobbing about in the tiny Port Isaac harbour and out to sea. Every mod con and gadget is provided, along with lovely comfy beds, fluffy towels, a Victorian bath and a fab power shower. We could have happily stayed forever...

Only slight down side for us (& some people might enjoy this..) is the 100+ Doc Martin fans a day who come to take selfies on the front steps!

Would love to come back when Doc Martin has retired 😉
