Flour mill from 1724 in the most beautiful spot of Zeeland
WIEKendje or longer.
This old grain mill of Brouwershaven and listed building has been transformed into a charming guest address and enjoys a prime location right on the harbor, overlooking the Zeeland country, the Grevelingen and the town, within walking distance of downtown and the beach. Molen De Haan looks authentic, but is equipped with all comforts. Built in 1724 and features a modern interior, but still several original features recalling the former function.
Living room and kitchen, 1st floor 1 bedroom (2 x single bed) with bathroom and 2nd floor 1 bedroom (2 x single and 1 x bunk bed).

Family May holiday in Brouwershaven
During our stay in May in this Mill, it was quite cold outside. But the heating in the mill is fine (both central heating and a gas stove on the groundfloor).
The mill contains everything we needed (kitchen is well equipped (dishwasher etc)). This holiday home being a mill is great, and comes with the consequence that it is not very spacious, but with a family (2 parents, 2 kids), this is not a problem. Be aware that the stairs are very steep (more like ladders), and the bathroom is tiny.

Inderdaad geweldige plek om te verblijven.
Aparte beleving om in een molen te slapen. De molen ligt erg mooi. Hebben een fijn weekend gehad.
Narrow City Brouwershaven used to be of great importance for the maritime and merchant shipping, which we now can look back at the beautiful town hall and the great St. Nicholas Church. Brouwershaven is the birthplace of Jacob Cats, known as a statesman and moral writer. Brouwershaven is the largest saltwater lake in Europe, De Grevelingen, and is now a center for water sports and recreation. n the summer months there is an opportunity to sail on a historic sailing ship from the wharf. There will also be a tourist market on Monday. The port of Brouwershaven continues into the town, which gives a pleasant activity. The Jacob Cats statue overlooks the market, which are several terraces.
