Casa Simone is simply furnished and it has a nice garden. It consists of 2 bedrooms. A double room and a twin room. 2 full bathrooms, and a living room with TV, sofa bed, dining table and open kitchen. The garden has deck chairs, chairs and outdoor table. Facilities include private parking.
Casa Mate, Casa Fusco and Casa Simone are houses in a very nice area, just 2 km from Porto Cervo and its beautiful green coast with stunning sandy beaches. The location of these houses is really superb. The terrace of Casa Fusco and the garden of Casa Mate offer wide views on the unspoilt hills towards the south-west. The well tended lawn has some characteristic rocks and offers a view as far as the coast. On walking distance are a bakery and a supermarket. The houses distances just 1 km from the nice beach Rena Bianca and 1 km from the Pevero Golf club.

Since 2006 we have accurately selected for you only those houses that are able to unfold Italy's colours and charm at best. We have started with properties in Sicily and the Aeolian Islands (intoSicily), but our enthusiasm has been quickly appreciated beyond these borders. Our houses are now in Sardinia, Tuscany, Marche and Calabria. Houses in unique locations with quality furnishing and friendly home owners, which we are proud to propose to you with transparent information, true pictures and our best price/quality deal. All this to satisfy our biggest wish: to see you falling in love with Italy just like we did.
Not easy to find in the dark, directions were not great and street not well sign posted. It is the first street on your left as you enter Abbiadori but easy to miss! Apartment complex is nearly at the end of the street (it's a dead end street) on the left.
Quite a newly built apartment, clean and well kept but pretty basic. Good amounts of crockery and cutlery but no kettle or mugs/cups. Unheard of in a British house but maybe different for other Europeans! No washing up bowl or plug (we bought one, how else could you wash dishes?) and no pegs. washing machine worked fine. Firm beds. No air con but high ceilings and shutters closed in the day meant no real need. No wifi but can get it free at cafes in town. 5 minute walk to supermarkets, cafes, fantastic playground and fabulous gelateria!
Small but pretty outdoor space, safe for small children to play in. You will definitely need a car, buses are infrequent and roads unsafe for walking on outside of the town (narrow and steep drops).
Best beaches nearby were: Romazzino (5 minute drive, clean sand, clear water, safe for small children, free showers, parking €1.50 an hour (standard rate), large car park so can always get a space). Porto Rotundo (15 mins, stonier but beautiful clear water, free parking but get there before 11 as the spaces go quick, pontoon to dive/ jump off, nice beach cafe)
It would be advised to buy a beach umbrella (around €20) as they are expensive to hire every day and you will appreciate the shade!
Mama Latino does good pizza and Terrazza sul mar in Porto Cervo reasonably priced and delicious sea food and pizza. We never reserved a table but then we ate a little earlier than most Italian families (8pm as opposed to 9pm) so that maybe why?!
Avoid Lithos restaurant, expensive and tasteless food.
Would recommend to family of four or less.
Key holder spoke limited English as well so not easy to communicate unless via text!
- Casa Simone it is an adjoining house, with a small garden, and you need to be tall if indeed you want to have a view on the sea
- the collective garbage outside the condominium does not make the surroundings so attractive
- we would have appreciated a microwave and a toaster
- hot water had to be fixed after our arrival and we run out of cooking gaz during our stay. It was then resolved.
- Abbiadori is well located to have access to all the Costa Smeralda
- the condominium was very quiet during our 2 weeks stay (first 2 weeks of August)
- The design of the condominium is quite nice
Casa Mate and Casa Fusco are near Abbiadori, a tiny village located on a hill that dominates the chic area Cala di Volpe, part of glamorous Porto Cervo. Porto Cervo hosts the world class yacht harbour, top designer boutiques and exclusive restaurants. Within a 5-10 minute drive are many beautiful beaches for which the 'Costa Smeralda' is famous in Italy and abroad. Golfers can tee off at the Pevero Golf Club, an 18-hole course designed by Robert Trent Jones. Tennis can be played at the Cervo Hotel. Sailing, yachting and scuba-diving are available in Porto Cervo or Poltu Quatu. The area offers stunning natural scenery, and several pre-historic Nuragic tombs.
