About Michael Martin

Hello I'm Michael

I have owned The Beach House since it was built in 2006.

I live locally now but originally bought the house to spend time on the beautiful North Norfolk coast as a retreat from busy city life.

I manage the Barn & Beach portfolio, you can find Beach Place, Beach View, Church View (Happisburgh) & Maydrift Cottage (Mundesley) on this site too.

The houses are run and maintained to a high standard so that our guests may enjoy peaceful relaxed breaks on the beautiful Norfolk coast, true homes from home.

I look forward to welcoming you to North Norfolk.

Michael Martin purchased this house in 2012

Why Michael Martin chose Norfolk & The Broads

Linda has owned Beach Place since 2012. She loves the time she spends here and hopes that all of our guests enjoy it as much as she does.

Walcott and the Surrounding Area

Walcott is the nearest village and has a convenience store, fish & chip shop and restaurant and two local pubs. The Lighthouse Inn a short walk across the fields is family friendly and provides children’s entertainment throughout the summer months. The Poachers’ Pocket is a 15 minute walk along the beach and has live entertainment some evenings.

The untamed ever-changing beauty of North Norfolk’s coastline, its dramatic landscape, a sanctuary for wildlife, the rich historic appeal of its countryside, charming market towns and picture-postcard villages make this a destination for all seasons. The North Norfolk countryside has a vast number of small lanes and seaside pathways offering varied opportunities for walking, cycling and horse riding.

There are a large number of local wildlife, heritage and natural sites including those run by the National Trust, Norfolk Wildlife Trust, English Heritage and the RSPB. If you want the thrill of the funfair and the big city lights, Great Yarmouth is a 30 minute drive to the South East. Cromer's historic pier and famous crabs are just up the coast to the west and you're less than half an hour drive from the beautiful broads 'Britain's Magical Waterland'.
