What a fantastic place to stay & explore for a week. There's loads to do in all weathers there. We had great weather, swam at Lee on Solent, used the Stokes Bay splash park, did submarines, hovercrafts, towers, explosions, diving museum, Victory, Mary Rose...Dad (80,from Gosport) enjoyed showing my son (7) the house where he was born and a local road, named for Dad's Uncle.
We loved the house, bright and airy, worth 5 stars. Thought the washing machine was hilarious, the way it sang to us when it finished. Ate in, ate out, most excellent. Maybe each bedroom could use a hook on the back of the door for towels, and a coffee table in the living room to put bags/books/papers on. But we'd certainly stay again.
Lovely place to spend a vacation with friends/family. Both the master bedroom and second bedroom are good-sized and get lot of sunlight. The third room has a very cute bunk-bed, ideal for kids!!! The garden at the back is lovely with lots of seating options. The kitchen is fully equipped and spacious. Sandra (the owner) was extremely helpful and got back to questions/queries promptly. Definitely recommend this one!
We rented the property as an alternative to impinging on family once again (the older the kids get, the more difficult it gets to squeeze us all in on a visit back home), or indeed a hotel. Very glad we did so, since the arrangement worked out perfectly. The property itself is clean, cosy, well arranged & provided all that we could have expected. Took us very little time to feel at home. Having access to a car is probably advisable but otherwise it is in a quiet residential area that was nice to return to after busy daytime activities with family & friends. Highly recommended then for any families needing to spend a few days or weeks in the area.
