Our delightfully refurbished Welsh stone cart shed, Tilley's Cottage, provides very comfortable accommodation to the visit wales Four Star standard. Set in a peaceful rural location, the Cottage enjoys stunning sea & countryside views and spectacular sunsets. There are breathtaking countryside and coastal walks on your doorstep, as well as quick and easy access to two beautiful beaches. The area around Tilley's Cottage is a stunning mix of countryside and coastline. Access to the coast path is a mile away. The coastal walkers' bus service (from right outside the cottage gate) can be used to get to a start point and walk back without you having to use your car. There are two good pubs within half an hours walk from the cottage - The Sloop at Porthgain and The Ship Inn at Trefin. Porthgain is a pretty harbour village - once a thriving industrial area, it now has two interesting art galleries and an award-winning restaurant (as well as the pub). Two miles from Tilley's is Abereiddy beach - with toilet facilities, pay parking and a refreshments van selling locally produced food (open Easter to October half term). Right next to Abereiddy is the famous 'blue lagoon' where the Red Bull British Cliff Diving Championships were held in 2012, 2013 & 2016. St Davids with its magnificent cathedral, tourist information centre and a range of good quality cafes, pubs and restaurants is a fifteen minute drive away. Whitesands beach near St David's and Newgale beach are also popular choices for visitors - these have all facilities and are both great for surfing.

About Ruth Woodage
When we moved here from the New Forest, the cottage had already been renovated and was being run as a holiday let. We were very pleased that this beautiful holiday cottage was part of our property and over the years we have gradually made various changes and improvements to make it more of a home from home. It is regularly used by friends and family who enjoy visiting the area, as well as providing tourist accommodation.
Ruth Woodage purchased this Cottage in 2006
Why Ruth Woodage chose Llanrhian
We loved the wild nature of the North Pembrokeshire coast. It feels remote here - yet after a few minutes in the car you can be at a pub, restaurant, cafe or gallery. The choice of walks is amazing - coastal, countryside or woodland - they are all on the doorstep!
What makes this Cottage unique
Tilley's Cottage has loads of character, with the thick stone walls keeping it cool in summer and cosy in winter; and whatever time of year you stay, if it's clear enough for a sunset - you won't miss it!

Cottage lovely and cozy. Ruth fantastic - couldn't have been more accomodating.
Cottage was everything we hoped - cozy and relaxing but not lacking any creature comforts. Indeed shower amazing and plenty of piping hot water for relaxing soak. Ruth very helpful -immediately got a throw for sofa as our dogs like to snuggle up! Bed lovely with wonderful duvet ensured great nights sleep.
Walked dogs for several hours on Whitesands bay (wonderful) so they had a great time also.
Will definitely be coming again - cottage perfect and so much to see and do in this beautiful part of Wales.

Thoroughly enjoyable stay
What a lovely cottage surrounded in a beautiful area. A big thank you to Ruth for her assistance and warm welcome, the wine and Welsh cakes were a lovely surprise. Weve had the perfect weekend. Would definitely recommend and hope to visit again soon.
Many thanks for your review - and glad that you all enjoyed your stay at the cottage.
Wonderful West Wales Weekend
We had seen the pictures of Tilleys Cottage online, and liked what we saw. Ruth greeted us when we arrived and showed us around. The cottage was well furnished, and very homely. It was well equipped and Ruth's gift of a bottle of wine and Welsh cakes was very welcome. We had travelled to St Davids for my daughters wedding and Tilleys Cottage completed a wonderful weekend.
Thanks very much for your review - and very glad that you enjoyed your time at the cottage.
Lovely cottage in beautiful location
Beautiful cottage in a stunning location, close to the Blue Lagoon and beautiful Whitesands Beach a 10 minute drive away. Ruth is a lovely host, on hand if needed, but respects your privacy.
Only thing I would say is garden wasn't quite as secure as I'd like for our dogs, our eldest was fine as she is a medium dog, but other two are smaller and could easily have slipped through the gate if not on lead. Fine if you have very obedient dogs, one of ours is very stubborn! Overall a lovely place to stay.
Thanks very much for taking the time to write a review. I'm glad that you enjoyed Pembrokeshire and your stay at the cottage - but very sorry to read about your difficulty with the gates. We are now attaching extra bars on the lower half of each gate to make the entrance more secure for smaller dogs.
No one has mentioned this issue in the past, so thanks for pointing it out.
Clean, cosy and comfortable
Had a lovely long weekend break. Cottage is well equipped with everything we could have hoped for. Very clean, cosy and comfortable. We'll located for walking and trips out. Thank you Ruth for your hospitality.
Thanks for your review. Very glad that you enjoyed your stay!
Perfect location, beautiful views, and super cozy!
We wanted to hike the coastal path between Aberiddy and Porthgain, and Tilley's Cottage was a perfect base for our exploits. I was expecting just a peekaboo view of the ocean but was pleasantly surprised by just how much of it was on view right outside the door. The kitchen is wee but well stocked and outfitted, and the wood fireplace made everything extra cozy. We enjoyed a delightful couple of days here, I only wish we could've stayed longer!
Thanks very much for your review. Very glad that you enjoyed your stay at the cottage!
