About Ray Traynor
Ray and Rose Traynor have restored these lovely stone buildings with care and pleasure. We have lived locally most of our lives and have a family on 2 sons and 3 daughters, ranging in age from 23-11. We also currently have 2 budgies, 2 cats and 2 hens. We have a small farm and enjoy the country life very much and we will be delighted to share our favourite locations and attractions with you.

Great Mayo cottage!
We had a phenomenal stay at this cozy cottage in Mayo. We had reserved Anastasia’s cottage but were upgraded to the Briar Rose cottage (which is slightly larger) upon arrival, but all of the cottages looked very nice and homey. It is in a great location to Ballina and Foxford and a great central hub to anywhere in Mayo, but if you just want to stay local and sit in the well appointed yard or take a 10 minute amble to the lake and the terrific view of Nephin mountain it is also perfectly situated. Ray and Rose were very hospitable and we can’t wait to come back.
Thankyou both for your kind words.
We are delighted you enjoyed your stay and we would love to see you again.
Ray and Rose's little stone cottage was so charming. It has so much character- located on a winding country road, a cow greeted us on arrival and sheep were grazing in the field. We loved sitting around the fireplace in the evening. Ray and Rose were very friendly and offered some nice suggestions about the area. Thank you again!
Beautiful peaceful retreat
The property is exceptional we had a fantastic time. The place is kept clean and is cosy inside. Ray the host was very nice and we knew if we needed anything he would accommodate us. I would gladly recommend Sally’s cottage to others and we would like to return in the future. Lovely place!
Delighted you enjoyed your stay so much and thankyou for your kind words.....it makes it all worth while...
We had a very peaceful stay; the area was close to Ballina Village and Sligo.
The wi-fi was the only negative issue, it was never provided. However, we would stay again and recommend it to any one needing to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Mr. Traynor was helpful with advice for any adventure you might be planning.
