This extremely spacious property is in the countryside yet not remote - with a pub close by and shops within a 10/15 minute drive. This area of Pembrokeshire is renowned for its superb coastal paths for walkers. There are many beaches to choose from with surfing, wind carting and other activities such as horse-riding, fishing and golf. There are boat trips to the islands to see the puffins and other seabirds. There is no shortage of places to visit - St Davids with its famous cathedral, delightful fishing villages such as Solva and Littlehampton with a wide choice of pubs and restaurants and Narbeth with its bohemian shops as well as the county town of Haverfordwest with its wide range of shops and supermarkets.

The property is ideally suited to a large party and is popular all year around, especially Christmas, New Year and Easter as well as the summer months. In addition to the main house if required there is a 2 double bedroom barn conversion and coming soon a studio sleeping 2 plus sofabed. The farmhouse has a huge huge sitting room which oozes character with exposed beams, natural stone walls and two sitting areas each with an antique woodburning stove as their focal point. The kitchen has cream painted wooden units, a lovely slate floor and a large oak table seating ten with views of the garden and paddocks.The property is wifi enabled with fibre optic broadband and NOW TV. The games room is in the stable block adjacent to the house and contains a table tennis table, sofa and TV as well as a table and chairs so ideal for board games. The paddocks are home to three Shetland ponies, much loved by visiting children. The master bedroom suite has a dressing room and ensuite shower room. It is triple aspect with a full length picture widow commanding views of the paddocks and woodland. Other bedrooms also have views of the paddocks and fields. The cottage garden is well stocked with plants and flowers; it is south facing so gets plenty of sun and is equipped with garden furniture - table and chairs, sun loungers and a barbecue. We welcome well behaved dogs in the main farmhouse. Sorry, but no smoking indoors.

Outside: There is a private cottage garden, paddocks and a field leading to woodland - there are Shetland ponies in the paddock and field. Utility Room: The utility room has a sink unit, washing machine and tumble dryer. It also has plenty of cupboards so ample storage and lots of hooks for coats and jackets. The downstairs shower room is off the utility room. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: We provide bed linen, bath towels and handtowels but no beach towels. The property is cleaned between lets - whether weekly or short breaks.

Perfect accommodation for a couples weekend!

We had a fantastic weekend in the farmhouse and converted barn! The house is just like the pictures, comfortable and cosy. The weather wasn’t great but that didn’t bother us because the house was so lovely. We really enjoyed the use of the log burning fires and the games room was a fun added extra.

We will definitely be coming back!

A big thank you to Margaret, this is a great house and right from when we first entered we knew we had made a superb choice.

The house itself has everything you need; a big modern kitchen, lovely rustic living room and comfortable bedrooms & bathrooms. There is also a very handy utility room which is great for muddy shoes and wet coats after those long walks out in the beautiful countryside.

Heartily recommended.

The booking was for a family Christmas/new year get together. It was the first time we had all been together in one place at the same time for a lot of years and as such we wanted something a bit special and a place where we could have a professional photographer to take some photo's as a reminder.

There were 11 of us staying there with the remainder of the local family coming up each day.

Upper Calf Farm exceeded all expectations. It was spotless when we arrived and ready for our occupancy. The onsite caretaker had put the heating on for us so that it was lovely and warm. The living room had been beautifully decked out with Christmas decorations and a magnificent Christmas tree. We really didn't have to do anything excpet get the food in.

The beds were very comfortable, constant hot water and a log burner in the living room. No need to rush into town for logs and kindling since the caretaker provided logs as and when required at a cost much less than in town.

Plenty of car parking and only a few miles drive into town, the conveience without being in town.

As if all that wasn't enough there was a very hansome welcome basket waiting for our arrival.

In short we had a fantastic holiday. Thank you Margaret for all your care and attention.

I would recommend staying here very strongly.

Stayed here with our family of 10. We all loved it especially our grandchildren as there were horses and ponies to feed and play with. Very helpful caretaker who lived next door. Convenient to beautiful walks on the beach or countryside together with a local pub. Excellent! Hoping to return again.

People say that the property represents a unique sense of space and freedom - enjoying countryside fresh air without having to sacrifice modern amenities and comfort...they also say the location is great, rural and near beaches but also near the market town of Haverfordwest so not isolated with plenty to do if the weather is bad.
