A lovely cosy cottage

  • 4 of 5

A charming tiny cottage with all you need after a day out and about in the surrounding countryside. The stairs are step, the bed is short but mere observations rather than complaints.

Our Expectations Exceeded

  • 5 of 5

My wife and i both agreed that Weavers Cottage was the nicest cottage we have stayed in to date. The interior has been designed with a great deal of artistic flair and is absolutely charming (as is the garden). The bedrooms are spacious and very comfortable. Everything we needed was available, and it is very quiet and peaceful as it is set off the road.

The staircase is very steep and narrow and might pose a problem for someone with limited mobility.

Thanks to Alison for all the effort and thought that has gone into making coming 'home' after long days out so pleasant and welcoming

Delightful cottage, super stay

  • 5 of 5

Weavers cottage is a delightful base to explore the wonderful sights of Kent and neighbouring Sussex. The cottage itself has been lovingly and artistically furnished, and has everything that you can possibly need to make your stay comfortable. It is situated near the Church which holds a farmers market on Thursday mornings. Tenterden is nearby and has good shops. We thoroughly enjoyed our two week stay and would certainly return there again. Special highlights include sitting in the cottage garden, fairy lights twinkling and seeing shooting stars. Visiting nearby Sissinghurst, Bodium Castle and Great Dixter. The owner is super and nothing is too much trouble. Jane and Peter

Charming 2 bedroom cottage

  • 5 of 5

Weaver's Cottage is from the 15th century (if I remember right) and has been updated to current standards. The cottage has everything to make your stay comfortable. It was warm when we were there and asked Alison about a fan. She didn't have one but immediately went out and purchased one for us to use.

Yes, the steps upstairs are long and narrow but that is part of the charm.

The only negative is that in booking from the USA we had to do a bank transfer to make payment. Turned out to be fairly costly to do. Hope that Alison will be able to do paypal or credit card in the future.

Absolutely perfect for us.

  • 5 of 5

I grew up in Ashford and was very privaleged to have enjoyed the country side and villages as they were more than 30 years ago. I brough my family to reconnect with family and friends and wanted to stay somewhere special, where my wife and sone would appreciate the beauty of the area and experience friendly locals. From this perspective, Rolvenden certainly ticked the box.

The cottage was absolutely wonderful. We arrived late in the evening and we were welcomed into a warm home with everything we could wish for at hand. The owner clearly wants people to feel at home. We typically stay in hotels and this was our first experience of taking a self catering home - and what an experience.

The cottage has everything and all cleverly fitted into a small area. The steep stair initially worried us because we have a four year old. After the first night fashioning a barrier at the top of the stairs (using curtain ropes and a chair), we discovered the stair gate - like I said, the cottage has everything.

The weather precluded us form using the lovely garden but during warmer months it would b a great place to sit and enjoy a glass of wine and some outside dining.

Reading the visitors book clearly shows that everyone who has stayed in the cottage has enjoyed their time.

Forget looking for hotels, stay at the Weavers Cottage
