A traditional detached villa with spectacular sea and mountain views. There are 3 bedrooms, a family bathroom, a shower room, a fully-equipped kitchen with dishwasher and microwave, living room, dining room and separate TV lounge with international satellite TV and Wifi. There is also a separate laundry with washing machine. The villa benefits from exceptional outside space with an outdoor dining terrace with Weber gas barbecue and a sundowner lounge with stunning coastal views The villa also offers a private swimming pool and two large sun terraces with sun loungers and a double daybed. There are extensive, landscaped gardens including a "boules" court. Off-street parking for two cars.
I am a professional chef living in London. I have spent my vacations in this wonderful part of Spain for over ten years. It has been a "busman's" holiday due to the amazing array of great restaurants and fabulous produce.

I bought this house due to the spectacular views. They truly take your breath away. In renovating the villa I have tried to maximise the use of outside space to capitalise on the wonderful position of the property and the great climate.
Very well equipped with quality kitchen gadgets but still keeping a Spanish atmosphere. Fabulous views over the med, like being on top of the world. Several different terraces to sit out, beautiful garden furniture from sofas, dining and sun loungers. Chilled wine watching the sunset. Kotare is idyllic
Great accommodation in a specular location. You can spend the whole holiday just taking in the view. Currently no air conditioning but built into the hillside, so doesn't get too hot at night.
Breathtaking views from this lovely villa. We had a great week here in July. We spent all the time outside. The villa is very well equipped with everything you need for a very comfortable and relaxing stay.
We were very sad to leave.
We enjoyed a week in Kotare which is very comfortable and has the most amazing views. There are several terraces all beautifully furnished and a lovely pool.
Everything was clean and well kept. The villa is extremely well equipped for cooking and entertaining both inside and outside.
The location is great for visiting the local area, particularly Begur which is beautiful with lots of great places to eat and drink. We walked there a few times but you need a car to get to the supermarket as well as other places such as Pallafrugell , Llafranc and Callela;all worth a visit.
This is a comfortable villa and has everything you need for a happy holiday!
We had a lovely time at this beautifully situated villa. It is fantastically well furnished with comfortable beds, great kitchen facilities and the added joy of UK tv (great if you go in Wimbledon week like we did) and Wifi (great if you have a teenager who cannot be disconnected from the internet). The pool is lovely and the various patio areas are fab. My youngest loved the hammock! The position is great. Supermarket 5 minutes up the road or Platja Fondja 5 minutes drive down the road (go for the morning and you might even get a stretch of sand amongst the pebbles). Fantastic holiday, fantastic property and fantastic weather.
A quirky lovely villa, with an amazing view. We didn't cook in the modern, well equipped kitchen because we love the restaurants in the area. But we loved our breakfast outside, overlooking the bay. The owner and Liz were both very helpful and easy to deal with. Hopefully we will be back soon.
The villa is situated above the beautiful sandy cove of Aigua Blava and the stunning, undeveloped rocky cove at Platja Fonda. Both are within a 5 minute drive. The beaches of Llafranc, Tamariu, Calella, Sa Riera, Sa Tuna, and Aigua Gelida are also a short drive away. This is a great area for walking as there are 'rights of way' and walking paths along the entire coastline. In particular the restored coastal path - the Cami de Ronda offers a series of beautiful day hikes.
The nearest airports are Girona (Costa Brava) less than one hour away, Perpignan - 90mins and Barcelona - 90 mins. In addition Girona is a main railway station serviced by the newly opened fast line from Paris and many major Spanish cities. To really enjoy your holiday in this area a car is essential. Car hire is readily available at all of these airports and Girona station.
The nearest town Begur, a 5 minute drive away, is a charming, small town crowned with an impressive hilltop castle. It is a charming place to shop, roam the cobbled streets, have a drink in the square or enjoy one of the many excellent Catalan restaurants. Palafrugell is the nearest market town and offers a great choice of shops and a daily market with meat, fish, fruit and vegetables.
This area is rich in history and culture. There are dozens of medieval villages in the area offering great days out. Pals, Peratallada, Ullastret, Roman ruins at Empuries and the ruined fort at Torroella de Montgri are just a few of the highlights. The city of Girona is only 45 mins away - explore the ancient Jewish quarter, cathedral and city rampart walks as well as its thriving restaurant scene. It is the home of Cellar de Can Roca! The Dali triangle includes the museum in Figueres, Gala Dali's castle at Pubol and Dali's home in Cadaques. All are within an hour's drive of the villa. Shopping highlights include the ceramics and pottery shops at La Bisbal and the vintage market on Sunday morning at Corca. The Begur weekly market is every Wednesday and the daily market at Palafrugell is supplemented every Sunday with the influx of traders from all over the area.

The property is rented from Saturday to Saturday but exceptions can be made outside the peak season.
A 30% deposit is required within 5 days of booking with full balance 6 weeks prior to your arrival date.
A cleaning/breakage deposit of €200 is also required on arrival. This is fully refundable subject to the house being left reasonably clean and with no major breakages.
Changeover Day (Saturday):
Check-in is from 4pm on arrival day. Checkout is 10am.
