I have been going to Zermatt for over 20 years and have definitely fallen under its spell. The mighty Matterhorn towering above the little village can leave no one indifferent. I bought my first property in 1994 and this is where I live now, when I'm not in Geneva. My hometown was Wimbledon and I still return there on the special occasion that takes place at the end of June/beginning of July.
Ann purchased this Apartment in 2001
Why Ann chose Zermatt
I bought the Imperial property in 2001 and then proceeded to renovate it into an apartment I would have liked to have rented myself: two bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, close to the village and everything else. Later I added the studio which is next door with the idea that it would be nice for people to have a nanny or a granny close by, but not necessarily too close.
What makes this Apartment unique
Everyone who has stayed in this property raves about it. Skiing in general is very hectic, and the logistics of getting to Zermatt are somewhat complicated...but oh so worth it. The proximity of this accommodation to everything important really helps to hit the snow running...and then keep running all week. The visitors book is a joy to read... or should I say the online reviews!
100% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date. 50% refund if canceled at least 14 days before arrival date.
The studio has everything we needed.
Great location! It's very close to the train station and the Coop but still quite and peaceful place. Ann is a great host. Thank you. We'll come back again.
Thank you so much for the review and glad you had a good time. You are welcome back any time.
A friend and I stayed in this studio apartment for a quick stay in Zermatt. The location could not have been better, with it being so close to the train staton and right in town. The ski resort is just a short walk away, and the apartment comes equipped with everything you need. The view of the matterhorn from the window is amazing as well. Couldn't have looked for a better place to stay!!
Thank you for the review and so pleased you enjoyed the studio and its proximity to everything.... and especially the view from the dining table!
Lovely studio in great location
The studio had everything you need for a lovely holiday and has a really homely feel as well as a very well equipped kitchen, dishwasher and coffee machine. It is well placed for a short walk to Sunnegga, a very short walk to the Gornergrat train and the bus stop is at the end of the road if you are heading to Klein Matterhorn. We enjoyed the balcony after skiing, it catches the afternoon sun with great views of the Matterhorn. We have stayed before but if you are new to Zermatt ask the owner Ann for some local tips and information, she is very knowledgable and happy to help. Thoroughly recommended!
Thank you for that very nice review and look forward to seeing you back soon!
Great place and location, Ann was a wonderful host! Would stay here again for sure!
Glad to hear you enjoyed your stay and you are welcome back any time!
Attractive, efficient, and very comfortable
We enjoyed our weeklong stay in Ann's studio apartment. Everything was clean, well-organized, and comfortable. The location is certainly convenient and was quiet without being dead. Ann provided great information including honest restaurant evaluations. Highly recommended.
Thank you so much for the review, glad you enjoyed the studio and its proximity to everything.
Great location, clean apartment, very nice!
This apartment was perfect for my boyfriend and I. Walking distance to the Sunegga lift and the ski bus. Also very close to down town bars, restaurants, etc. Ann was helpful, she greeted us upon arrival with some great suggrations of activities and restaurants. Zermatt was amazing and can't wait to go back again!
Very much appreciate your review, thank you
Zermatt is a car-free village and can only be reached by train, taxi or helicopter. If you are driving you must leave the car in Tasch and proceed by taxi or train. Trolleys for your baggage which you can take onto the train are available in the Parking at Tasch. You can take the train directly from Geneva and Zurich airports and the journey takes around 3 1/2 hours. The train arrives in the centre of the village and depending on your luggage you can walk to the apartment.
Summer activities include walking, hiking, mountain biking, climbing, tennis and volleyball. There is also a Forest Fun Park (accrobranche) and for younger children there is a Wolli park near Sunegga with a play park, lake and a barbeque area.
