About Tracy Marples

Thank you for visiting our property. We are a family of 3 and thoroughly enjoy our holidays to the New Forest.

Although we are based in Manchester, we do have family in the area therefore benefit from any assistance required locally to ensure your stay in our property is as comfortable as possible.

Tracy Marples purchased this cabin in 2014

Why Tracy Marples chose New Forest

This property is newly acquired in July 2014. As soon as we saw the lodge, we completely fell in love with it as it is beautifully presented and it is a prime location within the park, so if we hadn't have acted quickly, we knew we would have lost it to somebody else. We are regular visitors to the area due to our love of the location, all it has on offer, and of course family!!

There are so many different things to do in and around the area, and it appeals to everybody. Whether you like wildlife, water or would just like some peace and quiet, it's all here. We love it.

What makes this cabin unique

Our property benefits from 2 bathrooms, one of which has a full size bath which is great for relaxing in, and for small children to bathe in.

It's also located within a cul du sac area, therefore we don't have a continuous flow of traffic from passing cars travelling to another lodge.

The area behind our lodge is really private, and it feels as though we have our own private back garden where we are not overlooked from behind. We also don't have any lodges facing us, so the front is also really private too.

Clean tidy and neat and convenient having the spar supermarket on the site

  • 3 of 5

Lounge furniture comfortable but one of the beds needs replacing as you can feel the spring coming through

Laminated instructions would have been nice on how to use the heating and what to do with the rubbish

Perhaps a new toilet roll could be left in each toilet as a nice touch

Knives and scissors really blunt but overall the cottage was very pleasing on the eye

Owner's Response: Hi Patti, Many thanks for your review. I'll look into the mattress comment. Nobody has made this comment before so it has never come to light beforehand. I'm not sure what you mean about the rubbish details. There are many commercial size bins dotted around the park for people to dispose of their rubbish and recycle responsibly. I hope you will return in the future. Kind regards - Tracy

Last minute break

  • 5 of 5

We have just returned from this lovely lodge after a peaceful five day break. It is set in a good quiet location. The grounds are very well maintained. Everything was in easy walking distance on the site. We used the indoor pool & crazy golf all for a very reasonable fee. The two ladies enjoyed some pampering in the spa. The supermarket was a lot bigger than we thought it would be and sold everything you needed. The property was very clean and well equipped. The Wii came in handy for the teenagers. The coast was a five minute drive and pretty villages like Burley, Brockenhurst, & Beaulieu twenty minutes away.

We hope to return in the near future.

Beautiful, spacious and luxurious lodge

  • 5 of 5

This beautiful lodge surpassed our expectations. It was very spacious, clean, had everything we needed and extremely comfortable beds. It was in a lovely quiet location, but not situated too far from all of the facilities available on the park. We are hoping that we will be able to return for another visit in the future and would recommend a stay.

Just lovely....

  • 5 of 5

What a fabulous lodge! We found it to be clean, homely and quite luxurious. Our eldest really enjoyed using the wii and the youngest was delighted to find the story books.

Lovely quiet area of the park but only a couple of minutes walk to the reception area with pool etc..

We really enjoyed staying in your lovely lodge and will book again.

Nicest lodge we have ever stayed in

  • 5 of 5

Stayed here for just two nights with my daughter and two granddaughters and really regretted not booking the lodge for longer. It was in a beautiful spot and so spacious inside with everything you could possibly need.

The site is very well maintained and friendly and was a nice surprise to find a path leading to the nearby beach. We also visited Mudeford beach which had been recommended and took the ferry over to a lovely safe sandy beach.

With an indoor and outdoor pool, children's disco etc, two days was just not enough to fit everything in and I look forward to coming back again and exploring more of the New Forest and staying in this beautiful lodge

This is a beautifully presented and well maintained cabin set in a quiet part of a holiday village.

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for a long weekend in May and had a lovely time. It was the perfect base to explore the New Forest, beach and nearby attractions. The cabin was beautiful, well designed, clean and well equipped, and lovely and cosy to relax in in the evenings when my little boy had gone to bed.

For a small fee we were able to go swimming on site and also went to the entertainment in the evening which is great fun for little ones.

I would highly recommend this cabin and we'll definitely be rebooking in the future.

Map

Car: recommended

Coast/Beach:

The nearest beach is Milford on Sea. You can easily walk in 15/20 minutes although a car is recommended. This is a pebble beach and for younger children, we would recommend Highcliffe however access can be a little steep for some people.

One of our favourite activites is Crabbing and there is a great place near Milford on Sea. Walk past the Marine Restaurant on the seafront and keep going until you reach the second bridge on your left. The crabs are plentiful and very safe for younger children.

Distances:

There are so many places to visit within the surrounding areas, with most of the best being free.

Further Details:

A really great day out is at Moors Valley in Ashley Heath. No more than a 30 minutes drive away. You can spend the whole day here and you only pay for parking. It costs around £8.00. You can wander through the woods trail and find all the hidden adventure playgrounds and then rest in the picnic area, take a ride on the little train or kids can use more energy in the parks. A really great inexpensive day out!!
