We booked this cottage to celebrate my husbands 65th birthday with three generations of the family coming together for the first time in 16 years! What a truly wonderful property. The owners Nicky and Mark were fantastic and we were welcomed with a wonderful selection of goodies including Cream Teas and a large bowl of fruit. The cottage itself was immaculate and met the needs of the whole family. A great selection of board games were at hand and ensured that we had some quite competitive games nights. The kitchen was well equipped and the owners have clearly devoted a lot of effort and thought to ensure that we wanted for nothing. The location is the perfect location to get to beaches, The Eden Project, Newquay Zoo and the Maritime Museum in Falmouth to name but a few. My husband is a keen cyclist and this cottage places you right at the heart of some excellent cycling routes including the Goss Moor area. Ours was a party of 7 adults and one child and the house is so spacious we were all able to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Would certainly recommend this to anyone. I will be booking this again soon and cannot wait to return.
Idyllic weeks holiday
We had a fabulous stay at Honeysuckle cottage. The cottage was extremely comfortable with everything we needed and the location was stunning. Was lovely to be able to take the dogs and have a safe enclosed garden for them to roam. Was made to feel extemely welcome by the owner, who went out of their way to make sure our stay was a good one and all needs catered for.
And last but not least the location was a great central point for travelling to various places, including the Camel Trail (Bodmin), Padstow, Port Issac, Newquay and Falmouth
Quiet and convenient location
Cornwall has always been a favourite destination of ours, but what really makes the Cornish holiday experience is the accomodation.
We had the good fortune this year of staying in Honeysuckle Cottage near Newquay and I must say that this spacious cottage was ideal for our family of eight, consisting five adults and three children aged 2, 4 and 6.
There was plenty of space in the cottage itself and its self contained garden for the children to run around and tire themselves out and, although the cottage is set in a peaceful rural location, the beaches and places of interest were all in easy reach. We managed to take in the beaches of Newquay and Perranporth, whilst also visiting the Blue Reef Aquarium, Newquay Zoo, Camel Creek Adventure Park and the excellent Paulo's Circus!
Honeysuckle Cottage had everything we needed from our holiday accomodation to make life easy - especially the dishwasher!
As I mentioned earlier, this cottage is very spacious and ideal for a family holiday. It was clean and well maintained and Nicky, the owner, made us feel right at home from day one. Particularly the complimentary cream tea that was waiting for us after our long journey there.
I would certainly stay at Honeysuckle Cottage again and wouldn't hesitate recommending it to my friends and family.
Lovely cottage in a great location
We loved the cottage. Rooms were spacious - especially the lounge - easily comfortable for 8 (2 families).
Plenty of storage space in all the bedrooms.
The kitchen was well equipped.
Location was excellent.
Owners were close to hand if there were any problems (but there weren't any!!)
Would recommend this cottage and would come back again.
I'd give it 10 stars if I could.
This cottage was beautiful the photos on the website don't do it justice. It's decorated to a high standard & well maintained, the wooden beams give it added character. We especially liked the upside-down living which enabled us to appreciate the views. It's situated close to the Eden Project, Heligan & several other places worth visiting. The owners are lovely & very friendly. We'll certainly be returning & would definitely recommend it.
We'll be back!
Arrived to be greeted with a warm welcome and a cream tea. The cottage is absolutely lovely. I think the best review I could give, is to say that when we come back to Cornwall in the future, this is where we'd stay.
