Casa da Cuqueira offers the choice of:

Vinha, an appartment renovated in 2007, in the main house and comprising 3 double bedrooms and two bathrooms. Large dinning room with fireplace and fully fitted kitchen. Living room with woodburning stove and TV (satellite). Private garden close to the swimming pool.

Eira is the most recent appartment (totally renovated in 2008). It is situated in the main house (ground floor) and comprises two bedrooms with two en-suite bathrooms. Living room with woodburning stove and TV (satellite). Modern and fully fitted kitchen. Outside, the traditional 'eira' (threshing-floor in granite) and the old 'espigueiro' (granary). Just beside the swimming pool.

Camélia, in the main house, is an appartment comprising 1 double bedroom, 1 bathroom, living room with TV, kitchenette, private garden.

Eira is the most recent and modern appartment of Casa da Cuqueira. Orientated South, it is situated on the ground floor of the main house. 2 bedrooms (2 double beds) with 2 en-suite bathrooms. This area was once a storage room for cereals. You will be surprised: the floor of the bedrooms is made of large paving stones of granite. There is an extra room with a sofabed where two children can sleep. Living room with woodburning stove and TV (satellite). Modern and fully fitted kitchen (including dishwasher and microwave oven). Central heating. Outside, a fantastic and private area with the large and traditional eira (threshing-floor, in granite) and the old espigueiro (granary also in granite). A private garden with fig trees completes this charming area. Just beside is the swimming-pool (shared with other guests). Eira is a fantastic place to stay, an area where old granite walls and floors meets modern furniture and decoration. Great in Summer, really comfortable and warm in Winter.

Nous avons passé une agréable semaine à la casa da cuqueira, l'appartement est très confortable et spacieux. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié la terrasse avec son espigueiro et la grande piscine. Un beau souvenir de nos vacances au Portugal!

Casa da Cuqueira lies 1 km away from the town of Vieira do Minho, about 30 km from Braga.

Located in the vicinity of the Ermal Dam, the farm and its surroundings are ideally suited for pleasant and interesting walks.
