About the property

Italian Lakes apartment, 5 minutes drive to the lakeside and with private pool.

This is a brand new 3 bedroom apartment with swimming pool, situated in Lesa in the Italian Lakes. Furnished in a modern, contemporary style, it offers a high standard of accommodation and enjoys stunning views over Lake Maggiore. The apartment is located on the second floor of the building and access to the property is via a lift or stairs. Inside there is a wonderful open plan living, kitchen and dining area. Floor to ceiling windows ensures that guests can enjoy the phenomenal lake views from this area. Doors do lead out on to a covered terrace area, equipped with table and chairs for al fresco dining as well as comfortable seating, ideal for that pre dinner drink! The glass balcony ensures that guests can make the most of the wonderful views. The kitchen is modern and contemporary and well equipped for those that enjoy eating in as much as eating out! The are 3 bedrooms. Two have double beds whilst the third bedroom has twin beds. There are also two bathrooms, both with white sanitary-ware. The bath in one of the bathrooms makes it ideal for those with younger children. The other bathroom is fully adapted for wheelchair use. The property was completed in 2014 and so everything is brand new and furnished to a high standard throughout. Outside guests enjoy use of an infinity swimming pool. Loungers are provided for lazy days by the poolside. Please note that the owners of the property also use the pool. However, they are always extremely respectful of the privacy of guests. They are very much on hand to help with anything you need during your stay but will not intrude on your stay.

I am a mother with 2 young children, age 8 & 11 and a very busy husband! I gave up work with Procter and Gamble 8 years ago to spend time at home with the children. I have loved being able to spend so much time with them. However, with both children now at school, I was keen to start working again. I initially enjoyed managing two of our own holiday properties in the Italian Lakes which we bought in 2008 and 2009 following our first visit to the area in 2007. However, I have now started to manage holiday homes for others, not just in the Italian Lakes, but elsewhere in Italy through my website - I carefully select each property and ensure that I maintain that personal but professional service level that I believe holidaymakers are looking for.

I love this apartment. Newly constructed in 2014, the owners have really created a special holiday home for guests to enjoy. The interior is modern and contemporary and the infinity pool and surrounding garden is a fantastic area to relax and enjoy the sun!

What makes this apartment unique

I love the terrace at this apartment. It enjoys spectacular lake views, blissfully uninterrupted due to the use of glass along the front of the balcony. Since it is covered, it is also a great place to eat whatever the weather.

A lovely flat overlooking Lago Maggiore

We had a rotten journey down with car trouble in France but as soon as we arrived we felt relaxed and comfortable. Giordano looked after all the arrangements as Fiona was away and he was a source of excellent advice and information. We couldn't find fault with anything at all.

Amazing view & location!

We cannot say enough about this amazing property! Fiona was an amazing host and greeted us as we arrived with a booklet of local suggestions! The VIEW from the balcony is breath taking! This apartment has everything you would want and need! This particular area is centrally located between several lake side towns with plenty to do! Take the ferry boat to near by islands or take the train into Milan for a day out in the city...both easily done from this location. I would highly recommend this property for anyone traveling from over seas. Booking this from Florida was a breeze, Fiona & Jo made it so easy with all the information they provided. You won't be disappointed!!

Coast/Beach:

You will find plenty of small beaches dotted around the lakeside. There is a public beach at Lesa and also a sports club with a swimming pool, tennis courts and gym. The club is open to everyone. There is also an open air swimming pool, tennis courts, beach and snack bar on the lakefront at Meina. Water sports are also on offer here including windsurfing and wake boarding. Or there is a superb lido at Baveno with pool and lake access.

Travel:

The nearest airport is Milan Malpensa which is approximately 40 minutes away by car. Other airports include Milan Bergamo and Milan Linate. Car hire is essential if you are to make the most of your stay.

Distances:

The property is located in a peaceful hillside setting but is just a short drive to the lakeside.

Further Details:

The property is perfectly placed for visiting Stresa & the Borromean Islands, or to catch a boat to the other wonderful towns and villages on the lake including Cannobio, Ascona, Locarno and Luino. A great day out is the Lake Maggiore Express by boat up to Ascona and Locarno where you take the '100 Valley' train into the Swiss Alps. It's a trip that can be done in a day or over a couple of days. Also in Switzerland, Valle Verzasca is worth a visit. You can visit the Verzasca Dam which features in Goldeneye. The setting is idyllic. You can also use the property as a base to visit Lake Como or Lake Orta. Orta San Giulio is definitely one of the prettiest villages on any of the Italian Lakes. Or you can catch a train into Milan and go shopping. It's a short metro train ride to Santa Maria delle Grazie and Da Vinci's painting of 'The Last Supper.' If you're more of a sports fan, you can take a tour of San Siro stadium. For cheaper shopping, Luino boasts the biggest weekly market in Europe. Or you could have a look at Foxtown, an outlet centre where the most famous brands offer their products at factory prices. The nearby Mottarone is ideal for hiking. The scenery and nature is fabulous. Most of the nearby mountains also have tracks for mountain bikes. You can also enjoy plenty of other sports there including skiing in the winter, hand-gliding and parascending. The area offers plenty to do for children - Swissminiatur, the Alprose Swiss chocolate factory and the European Museum of Transport. The Mottarone is also a great place for children with an alpine bob sleigh! There is also a superb adventure park for children in Baveno. Or you could try your hand at falconry or visit a safari park! There is a huge waterpark near Milan. Water sports such as sailing, surfing and water skiing are provided at Club Nautico in Stresa. Here you can hire boats or have your own boat brought into the water and anchored.
