About Pam Humphries

I gave up working for a multi-national Financial Services company in 2014 after 18 years; I now work part-time in a Travel Money Bureau. My husband retired in 2013 after 39 years with an Aircraft Engine Overhaul company. We live in Cardiff but spend as much time as possible in Pembrokeshire.

The cottage joined the holiday rental market in 2014 but has not been available for the last two years due to major works that have resulted in connection to the main sewers, an attic conversion to install an upstairs shower room and toilet, and during November 2017 will be completed by an overhaul of the current kitchen and downstairs bathroom into a kitchen\diner and utility\bath room.

We are letting the cottage for 20 weeks per year to give others the chance to enjoy everything Pembrokeshire has to offer.

Pam Humphries purchased this cottage in 2013

Why Pam Humphries chose Lampeter Velfrey

We have holidayed in Pembrokeshire for over 15 years now and, until we purchased the cottage, had a static caravan in Saundersfoot.

We love everything about the area - the peace and quiet, the beauty of the whole area, the friendliness of the people, fresh air.

What makes this cottage unique

Based in a small and peaceful village with everything you could wish for in a holiday on your doorstep - country walks, beaches, tourist attractions, coastal path - whatever the weather there is something for everyone close at hand.

A wonderful stay at Forget Me Not Cottage

  • 5 of 5

We’ve had such a perfect stay at Forget Me Not Cottage – the cottage itself was faultless, the location was great, and we had the benefit of some great weather…and the gift basket on arrival was just wonderful and packed full of welsh goodies! There was nothing in the whole stay that we needed that wasn’t supplied and the cottage itself was immaculate.

The location is also perfect for lots of day trips – we would highly recommend a trip to Dale (tiny village by the sea), Little Haven is gorgeous for a walk in the sea (and the crab roll in The Swan Inn on the front was delicious), Stackpole trail takes you to stunning beaches and along the costal path and has a little café at the end for a well-earned lunch. We’d also recommend a trip to St David’s for the town itself and a trip round Ramsey Island in a boat. Saundersfoot is also worth a visit for a little indulgence – the Spa in St Brides hotel was just so relaxing and a great way to spend a few hours before having some fresh muscles for lunch in the restaurant. For our final evening treat we visited the Coast restaurant in Saundersfoot – the food was delicious, the views across the sea in the evening were beautiful and the service was faultless. Not the cheapest evening out but it was a perfect end to a truly wonderful holiday.

There is so much to do and see you’ll never be bored and coming home to the cottage was the icing on the cake. Pam and Gary have got this so right – I have already recommended Forget Me Not Cottage to family and friends and I will definitely be coming back.

What a lovely cottage and extremely helpful/friendly owners. A good location for exploring South Pembrokeshire. The welcome hamper with Welsh goodies was fantastic as were all the little extras. Would highly recommend to others.

Wonderfully clean and well presented cottage- spotless in fact. Most welcome basket of local goodies a lovely touch. Nearby to. Small town Narberth and just a few minutes drive to the coast. Lots of hot water for a bath or shower and light and airy bedrooms too. Would happily stay here again without hesitation.

Superb cottage - highly recommend

  • 5 of 5

We would have no hesitation in recommending this cottage. It appears to have been recently refurbished and is maintained and cleaned to an exceptionally high standard. The owners provided a welcome hamper of local/welsh food and other goodies which we felt guilty enjoying given the reasonable cost of the accommodation. This is truly a find and one which we hope to use and enjoy again with our young family. Thanks again - the Taylors x

Cosy cottage

  • 4 of 5

From the minute we entered the cottage we were made to feel very welcome and at home. There was the most overflowing welcome basket of goodies I have ever seen. From oatcakes, honey, cheese, butter to beer, cider, crisps And beans. The list goes on and on, I really was bowled over but.

The cottage was so clean ( I wish my house was this clean) and it seemed as though the owners had thought of everything. We had a cosy night in watching one of the DVD 's with footstools and cosy blankets.

The Victorian bath was a favourite with me and the children. All in all a lovely little cottage with very thoughtful owners. Thank you for making our stay so homely.

There are beautiful beaches and plenty of stuff to do with kids in the area from Anna Ryder richardsons wildlife park to folly farm and a little shopping in nearby Narberth. Nothing is far away though so it's a very well situated cottage for seeing the area.

I would recommend it to a friend for all the above reasons but especially for the welsh produce filled basket.

Excellent holiday, beautiful cottage

  • 5 of 5

We spent a great week in this beautiful cottage with our 3 young children. The cottage was clean & beautifully presented. The gift basket on arrival was a lovely surprise & filled with great Welsh treats that we enjoyed immensely. This cottage is in a great location (if you have a car) for exploring the local area with lots to do for families, we did not manage to do all that we wanted so we will be back soon hopefully.
