About the property

Studio Gite with a Sun Drenched Terrace For A Lazy Relaxing Base in Eymet

The Bluebird gîte offers quiet surroundings which are still close to all local amenities including private parking and its own veranda that’s drenched in sunshine especially for lazy mornings.

The “Bluebird”gîte was so called from the owner’s involvement in land speed record history. But the pace of the Bluebird gîte is considerably slower; it’s a perfect place to relax in friendly homely environment. This very nice self contained centrally heated studio gîte would make for an excellent holiday base, house hunting all year round.

Also it is somewhere for visiting local friends and family who live close by in the area. Here you can relax within easy distance of Eymet square.

Eymet is surrounded by stunningly beautiful countryside where the quiet roads are perfect to explore by foot, bicycle or car. Gastronomy, wine caves and amazing chateaux are all featured in this interesting area of France.

About Jeff and Sue Luff

The “Bluebird” gîte was so called from the owner’s involvement in land speed record history. But the pace of the Bluebird gite is considerably slower; it’s a perfect place to relax in friendly homely environment.

Jeff and Sue Luff purchased this bungalow in 2012

Why Jeff and Sue Luff chose Perigord Pourpre

Eymet has everything a small town can offer within a very friendly community. The surrounding countryside is stunning and with so much shared French history, it is a very attractive and welcoming place.

The Bluebird has private off road parking and use of a calm garden full of birdsong and the odd red squirrel! You have your own furnished terrace as well as full use of gas and charcoal BQ facilities in the garden.

What makes this bungalow unique

This very nice self contained studio gîte would make for an excellent holiday base, house hunting.

Also it is somewhere for visiting local friends and family who live close by in the area, but are unable to put them up. Here they can relax within easy distance of Eymet square and look after themselves for a little of the time and still be able to offer you their own hospitality when you call.

Lovely gite located in peaceful surroundings

  • 5 of 5

Lovely gite located in peaceful surroundings, which had everything we needed The garden is really pretty and it was very relaxing sitting on the veranda. Sue and Jeff are really friendly and made sure we had everything we needed.

It is a short stroll to the town centre and close to a boulangerie for breakfast croissants. There are a number of restaurants in the square which serve good food including an Italian. We stayed for 10 days and then was plenty of places to visit in the area without travelling too far.

Hidden gem in the French countryside

  • 5 of 5

Totally relaxed stay in an immaculate gite Sue and Jeff were the perfect hosts ensuring we had all we needed for perfect visit. Situated near enough for a morning stroll to pick up fresh croissants and evening amble to excellent bars and restaurants in town. We used our stay to visit many local towns from market villages, Bastide towns and of course wine centres and at the end of each day we enjoyed relaxing in the joyous garden and veranda. Sue and Jeff have made their gite a haven of tranquility and were so supportive without being obtrusive making a holiday we shall always treasure. Dawn and Stan Ashcroft.

Perfect! Wish I was back now!

  • 5 of 5

Down a peaceful small side road surrounded by a beautiful garden. Only 2 minutes by foot from the bustling bastide village of Eymet.

What a perfect few days away, The gîte is tastefully finished and very comfortable - sleep came easily, we were left wanting for nothing.

Sue and Jeff were absolutely fab hosts! We arrived late Sunday afternoon and didn't have any milk. Sue not only provided milk but a lovely bottle of wine! They also took the time to talk with us about the experiences of living in France over a glass or 2 of red (as we are planning to move to the area.) Their info was invaluable.

We also got into talking about Jeff's work in special effects on such films as Superman, Indiana jones, Star Wars, Labyrinth and Dark Crystal! Absolutely fascinating.

Can't wait to go back. Highly recommend.
