Grangehill Cottage is a newly refurbished luxury property situated just 1 mile from the historic town of St Andrews. The property is located on a working soft fruit and arable farm, and has arguably one of the most beautiful views in the world, overlooking the bay of St Andrews and the old town. It has 3 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and 2 shower rooms (1 ensuite) and a double sofa bed in the sitting room. There is disabled access, accommodation is all on one level and there is a garden with patio area and barbecue facilities. Being in the countryside, the house has ample parking space. John and Lucy Mitchell farm Allanhill Farm, and own Grangehill Cottage, which is situated on the farm itself. They have lovingly refurbished the cottage to a very high standard for guests to enjoy the beautiful surroundings and all that St Andrews and the nearby countryside has to offer.

Allanhill Farm has been in the family since the 1950s, and is an arable and soft fruit farm. Grangehill Cottage is situated on the farm and enjoys some of the most beautiful views in the world of the bay of St Andrews, and the old university town of St Andrews itself.

Notes on accommodation: The house has been lovingly decorated to a very high standard, in a contemporary style with artwork of the local area and bespoke furniture. There is free Wi-Fi throughout the property. The nearest pub/restaurant is just a 200 metre walk away and the farm has its own farm shop and tearoom, which is open from May to September. Outside: There is a garden surrounding the house, with a patio area with seating and barbecue facilities. There is ample parking space in front of the house for several cars. Utility Room: Separate utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer and sink and access to the garden. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen and towels and luxury toiletries are provided, changed weekly, and cleaning is carried out weekly. Other: There is a large double garage which houses a table tennis table. Bats and balls are provided. Unfortunately we do not allow pets.

Family Easter Break..

We stayed at Grangehill cottage over the Easter weekend 2017. The property was super, it was a nice large, very clean and well decorated cottage. We spent a lot of our time in the conservatory as it is a fantastic sun trap with great views. The walk into the centre isn't too far and on Sunday with 4 children we walked down and visited the park near the beach.

We would certainly come to this cottage again.

Beautiful cottage

We had a wonderful stay at Grange Hill Cottage.The cottage was spotlessly clean,warm,comfortable and well equiped. The welcome pack was very thoughtful and appreciated by the family. The views looking over St Andrews were superb and we had a truly wonderful break. We would love to return.

Great for our family

Truly spectacular views, and plenty of space for a family of five. High standard all around and the the house was very well equipped (the only thing missing was a nice beer pint glass). The boys were especially happy with the table-tennis table.

The surroundings were also great, with a more or less private football field and playground (well, at least until 10 am).

Our only complaint was the humming sound from the farm, which was a bit disturbing at night.

Home from home

A lovely, well appointed house with all the amenities you could ask for, I personally liked the underfloor heating in the bathrooms. It was ideal for my 8 year old grandson as it was located next to the Allanhill Farm Shop play area with swings,tractors, football pitch, etc. He especially liked the table tennis table in the garage. The location, at the top of a hill, provided wonderful views over St Andrews bay, but the down side of this was a climb back up if you wanted to walk into town. The walk into town was not suitable for pushing my other grandson in the pram as there is no pavement for most of the way, so we had to drive at all times, but this did not detract from a great holiday.
