Newly refurbished for 2014 - designer furnishings and décor. Sleeps up to 7. 3 bedroom villa in Vale do Lobo (Tennis Valley). Bedrooms have super king beds, that can all be converted to twins - so 3 x couples or 6 x singles + 1 guest bed. 2 bathrooms (1 en suite), kitchen, separate utility area. 4 terraces: ground floor with dining set, 2 on the 1st floor (1 en suite), sunbathing terrace on the top (2nd floor). 20 mins walk in either direction to superb beaches and restaurants. The pool is not on site - 3 min walk to the tennis centre. Guests have free use of pool, gym, and discounted tennis. Discounts available for 2014.

The 3 bed villa in Tennis Valley in Vale do Lobo (property ref p16292) certainly has the wow factor in terms of interior furnishings and is ideally located for the Tennis Centre and Praca area.

The 2 bed villa in Vale do Garrao (property ref ) is very charming and rustic with lots of entertaining space - indoors and outdoors and ideally located being so close to the beach.

A home is nothing without a good music system, and so I have invested in a state of the art docking station which can operate on Blue tooth from a number of devices, mobile, ipad, ipod, and also has two docking places for old and new ipad/ipod connections.

Why Gill Dunsford chose Almancil area

I fell in love with Vale do Lobo only recently in summer 2013. I was shown a villa which needed a lot of tlc and inspiration as it had not been inhabited for 2+ years, and I was interested in the challenge. A few months further down the line, and it is finally ready and I am pleased with the result, and I am sure you will be too!

What makes this villa unique

Having the use of a full sized (20m long) pool to my mind is much better than having a pool taking up space on the terrace which is often no bigger than a large bath tub! When I spend time at the villa, I go to the tennis centre (3 min walk) every day for a proper 20-30 length swim. The beauty of this is that many visitors to Vale do Lobo don't know about it, and it can be fantastically quiet even in the middle of August!

The beautiful sunshine, hot weather combined with lovely breeze blowing from the Atlantic make it a very comfortable location to be - even in the height of summer when it can reach 35+ degrees celcius. Out of season it may not be quite so hot, but it is mostly sunny, and a lot more pleasant than we are used to in the UK in Autumn/Winter.

Outside: The ground floor terrace has table and 6 chairs and there is a barbecue (located inside the property). ON the 1st floor 1 terrace has a table and 2 x recliner chairs. The en suite terrace has 2 small chairs. The upstairs sun terrace has 2 sun loungers, 2 further recliner chairs, and table and 4 chairs. There is NO white plastic garden furniture in this villa! Outdoor furniture is flexible and can be moved to suit, so 6 can sunbathe, and 6 can dine on the top terrace if required. For families there is a small playground opposite the villa which makes it an ideal choice for those with small children. Utility Room: Brand new washer dryer Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Cleaning will be provided at the beginning and end of the visit, and 1 visit in between. Bedlinen and towels provided and changed weekly. 5 Star luxury Villa

We have just come home following a one week stay at Gill's beautiful villa. Myself and my sister go to Vale Do Lobo for a quiet holiday each Sept with our elderly parents and we can honestly say that Gill's villa offered everything we could have wished for and more. We were extremely well catered for with all of the comforts of home in a stunning location and setting. Gill has been amazing and so very obliging and pleasant she is a true professional and gentle lady. We have just booked for a second stay for next Sept and we can't wait to go back again. Thank you so much Gill it has been a pleasure dealing with you.

Extremely comfortable, beautifully furnished villa

This was our first visit to Vale de Lobo and certainly won't be our last! The whole experience was excellent, such a fun place for the whole family. We loved the villa, which had everything we needed and more! It was beautifully furnished, we particularly enjoyed the large bright sofas, and huge beds! Gill has thought of everything from the lighting to the music system! The villa was exactly as described but rooms even bigger than we expected. The customer service was excellent and all our questions were answered promptly. I would definitely recommend this villa to family and friends.

The children loved the pool, tennis and beautiful beaches. My husband played three rounds of golf and I read two books! One happy family! The restaurants were all lovely, particular favourites were BJ's, Julia's and Marufo's. We also visited Slide and Splash water park for a great day out. The weather was perfect, 27 to 30 degrees every day, blue sky - as you can see great fun was had by all. Can't wait to return!

A relaxing stay, and great value for money

Fab holiday staying in this deceptively spacious and spotless villa, room for adults and teenagers alike to chill. We stayed with our teenagers aged 15 and 18 plus friends - we all made multi use of the pool, gym and tennis courts at the Tennis academy literally across the road, could not have been easier and there always seemed to sufficient sun loungers free to relax for as long as you liked.

Love the fact its so close to Faro airport, we had a car but didn't really need one, plenty of buses and taxis around. Really easy to get around. Favourite restaurant was Casa da Quinta, just outside the resort, awesome food and service, and dealt amazingly well with a massive group as we met friends there and it did get a bit noisy!

Managing agents for 922 were a pleasure to deal with, and the owner really helpful with masses of suggestions, we just didn't have enough time to do everything - so we will just have to come back!

Lovely villa, great location

The villa was just as described and very clean and tidy on arrival. Location was perfect - quiet, and close to tennis club where we used the gym and pool. Gill, the owner, was really helpful before we went, providing us with lots of information and recommendations. We were a party of 6, with our 2 teenage children each having a friend with them. We ate in most evenings and barbecued which was great. The supermarket on site recently re-opened and was very well-stocked. We didn't hire a car so did 2 trips by taxi (Gill's recommendation of Jose and Patricia's taxi service was excellent) to supermarkets in Almancil then used the circuit bus to access the on-site supermarket. All in all, this was a great place to stay and we would definitely recommend it.

Villa 922 Vale do Lobo

Staying at Vale da Lobe was perfect, there was nothing that the owner hadn't thought of when it comes to a home . The house was beautiful but with a warm touch , 3 good sized bedrooms loads of cupboard space which is always needed , plus excellent I pod system for us music lovers and cable if you just fancy a quiet night in .

Near by are Tennis Courts with a pool area perfect for children, food is good and the staff were very helpful, next to the courts was Ken Lo Resturant which we visited a few times excellent food plus take away service too .

The walk to to the main restaurants is around 20 mins but worth it , every type of is there plus a wonderful beach and marvellous views .

I would definitely go again , it's the first time I had been to Portugal and its won't be my last.

Home from home

This villa is probably one of the best in the Tennis Valley area being les than five minutes walk away from the courts and pool (a little old but not too busy). Parking is just a few steps away and there is a playground for small children outside. It has a new marble topped, very well equipped kitchen. The lounge has a new suite which is extremely comfortable, cable TV and Internet. There are games and lots of good books to borrow. The bedrooms all have new quality beds with crisp linens and duvets and lots of storage. There are soft white towels for inside and beach towels for each guest. There is sunny patio with a stylish dining set and two terraces with sun beds and reclining chairs so you never miss a sun ray. Twenty minutes walk in either direction will lead you to the beautiful sandy beach with Maria's restaurant at one end and a host of others at the Praca square which has nightly entertainment. The resort is secure as it is policed by its own private security and is ideal for families giving teens freedom to roam and there is an upmarket fee paying crèche called Kangaroo near the Praca for little ones. While we stayed there were lots of premiership footballers at the Praca at night and we also met Marvin and Rochelle Humes which pleased the kids

The villa is situated a short 3 min walk from the Tennis Academy which has numerous courts, and other facilities including beautiful outdoor 20m pool and many sun loungers. There is also a gym at the centre. In summer there is a weekly barbecue, and all guests have free access to the pool and gym, and 50% discount on the tennis. 10% discount applies at the bar and in the restaurant.

Coast/Beach:

The main beaches near to the villa are the Praca, which is the centre of the Vale do Lobo resort (20 min walk). And in the other direction c 20mins walk - the Vale do Garrao which has some fabulous bars and restaurants, some pictures included on this listing

Distances:

The nearest supermarket is c2km away, there are little local stores a 10min walk which sell essentials only. The main town of Almancil is about 5-6 km from the centre. The Praca - with shops and restaurants and the main facilities in Vale do Lobo is about 1.5 km from the villa.

Further Details:

There is a circuit bus which runs very regularly throughout May - September, and can be used if you purchase a 'resort card' at the Vale do Lobo reception for €25. The service can be requested on the phone so almost like a private mini cab service at no extra charge. The card also entitles the holder to discounts at many restaurants and bars in the area.
