FANTASTIC!! 5 STAR!!
Have stayed here previously and would do many times again.
This property is fantastic, so clean and just so so peaceful and beautiful. Lovely walk to Lacock and around the countryside.
If you are looking for absolute luxury then book this place to stay!!
Beautiful property, great area, great host
As others have mentioned, we were highly impressed with the quality of the property and furnishings - the 5* is merited! The location was perfect; in a quiet, green area, but close enough to activities to make a great city break. The host's communication was quick and helpful. I would love to have a chance to stay here again - highly recommended
Great propetty misrepresented
Ok tag line sounds negative so let me start.
Fantastic property beautifully situated, the owners have spent time creating an environmeny close to a real 5 star hotel
Downside advertised as 2 bathroom property but only has 1 and none are on suite
The water pressure is very low and the garden area is all shingles. I must admit if we had known was a single bathroom property we would have rented elsewhere a property at the right price for one bathroom.
That said would we come back, most definately just not with the kids as this really is a couples retreat not a family one sharing a bathroom with 2 teenage boys
I'm sorry that you felt the property description was misleading. When we originally set up the property on the website there wasn't an option to add a half bathroom, this has now been updated and i have made it very clear that there is 1 master bathroom upstairs and another half bathroom downstairs. Neither bathrooms were ever advertised as being ensuite and the garden description clearly mentions that it has mature beds and has a large gravel area with table and chairs and a barbecue. All the pictures clearly show this. We have hosted lots of families and the feedback has always been great.
A wonderful short break
An absolutely stunningly beautiful cottage in a perfect setting. We had a super short break and would highly recommend staying here.
A lovely property in a great location.
We arrived to find a beautiful cottage and garden with spacious rooms and high standard of furnishings. We enjoyed the 20 minute walk into Lacock, despite grey skies and drizzle. I managed to use the cooker (thanks for instructions) and dishwasher for an evening meal, otherwise we ate out having a particularly enjoyable evening at the Sign of the Angel in the village. Although I initially wondered about the football table, seemed a bit out of place, it provided a great competition particularly for husband and son-in-law. We had two dogs with us, they were quite safe in the garden area and loved the walks by the canal nearby. I would recommend this property and look forward to staying here again.
Beautiful rooms, quiet secluded location, lots to do around
We spent a week over Christmas here as we have lots of family and friends in the area. We found it well positioned for getting to the places we needed to get to and very quick to M4. The house is lovely and the main rooms spacious. There is now a lovely dining table which was great for us as we wanted to entertain a few friends. I chose the house because the pictures showed a proper kitchen and because of this I had hoped for a few more serving dishes and maybe a casserole but accept I may be unusual in wanting a home from home in this respect and most are on holiday and want to get away from the kitchen. The garden is very quiet and certainly big enough for barbecues (there is one) and my husband was delighted with the facilities (the Potting Shed) for the storage of his bike and its rack. If I had one quibble, it is that the water pressure for the shower is a bit slack and my daughter-in-law found it too slow to make use of the bath. Overall I can thoroughly recommend the Annexe and its location and I'd definitely return. We had a lovely and memorable week.
