House in Helmsley, North Yorkshire Moors, Yorkshire, England - A Five Minute Walk Into Helmsley With It's Castle, Walled Garden, Spa & Fab Pubs & Restaurants

The house is fully furnished with TV, Wi-Fi, BT Vision, DVD player, CD player: comprising three reception rooms, two double bedrooms and a twin bedroom. Overall it can easily accommodate 6 people. The master bedroom has oak furniture and a wood burning stove. All linen bedding and towels are included; as are both high chairs and travel cots. The kitchen is well equipped for self catering including a microwave, dishwasher, hob and double oven, and fridge. The washing machine, drier and a fridge freezer are easily accessible in the outbuildings, which includes a WC. The house Jack and Jill bathroom has a state of the art shower and large double bath; lashings of hot water are constantly available - the central heating unit looks like a NASA space station - we wanted you to be able to have hot water any time of the day or night!!! The snug, with its wood burning stove is cosy and highly sleep inducing, particularly after a long country, moorland or even beach walk. There is also private parking space for up to four vehicles. The large garden space is secured, sheltered and sunny!

Notes on accommodation: The main bedroom is a bright sunny room which has the sun first thing in the morning. It has John Lewis oak furniture throughout, with Egyptian cotton bedding, a BOSE music system, with a wood burning stove - ideal for Sunday morning lie ins............ Outside: There a large sunny, quiet and relaxing garden which has plenty of secure gated parking for up to 5 cars. We also have John Lewis outdoor furniture for those sunny days when you may want to use the BBQ Utility Room: The Utility room is in a separate annexe - 5 steps away from the main house which contains an additional toilet, washer, dryer, fridge/freezer together with garden furniture for those sunny days Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All linen (which is Egyptian cotton) and towels will be provided A cleaning service is provided each Friday and for longer stays all linen and cotton will be changed each Friday Other: We have a separate Dining room that seats 6 people around the table with plenty of additional space to expand to 8 if need be - there's also a Window seat perfect for soaking up the sunshine and watching the world go by...........

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in thus beautiful house - the owners have completely refurbished every aspect of the house and it's clear to see that they live their 2nd home.....

Helmsley itself is a pretty market town and has all the amenities you will need

Walking and eating out are both well catered for - the number of paths and restaurants mean that the well earned meal at the end of the day is a real pleasure

Wonderfully equpped and spacious

Beautifully appointed, well equipped warm property

5 friends stayed for 3 nights. The property was very clean, warm, inviting and very spacious. The weather was mixed so after a day's walk exploring this lovely area it was so very nice to come back to a log fire and relax.

We would not hesitate to recommend it to friends and family. Thank you

Fantastic property

We had a lovely few days in Helmsley. Afternoon tea at the black swan, a trip to the castle, Abbey, and lunch at the pheasant in Harome. All highly recommended.

Beautiful house, with some lovely treats on arrival. Communication with the owner was great.

Comfortable house in Helmsley

The farmhouse has been very well restored and is in a convenient position for walking into the centre of Helmsley where we enjoyed the local shops. It was a pleasure to use the butcher, bakery and fresh fish shop as well as the market. The immediate surroundings, although built up with houses and a petrol station, were very quiet.

The house is well equipped but the provision of the single indoor toilet situated in the bathroom could be a problem if the house was fully occupied. However, the bathroom is excellent.

There are two acclaimed restaurants in nearby Harome, and Rivaux Abbey, Helmsley Castle and a beautiful walled garden within walking distance.

The Helmsley Arts Centre caters for all forms of artistic endeavour whether it be classes in ballet, drama, life drawing, yoga and Tai Chi or a performance It's worth noting too that each September the Helmsley Arts Centre holds a folk weekend, attracting nationally and internationally successful musicians.

Indeed, the Cleveland Way and Ebor Way both begin from here. It's no wonder that Helmsley welcomes back so many visitors year after year
