About Alison Metcalfe
We live in a small market town in the Eden Valley a beautiful part of Cumbria between the Yorkshire Dales and The Lake District National Park.
Alison Metcalfe purchased this Cabin in 2014
Why Alison Metcalfe chose South Lakeland District
We bought the lodge as a getaway to enjoy with family and friends as a perfect place to relax and chill. Hollytree Lodge is situated in a peaceful, tranquil and scenic valley on 5* Limefitt Park. With stunning fell views, yet close to all local amenities, making it a perfect base to explore the Lake District National Park.
I love this lodge, we have been many times, a truly great escape.
Always spotless owner takes pride in her lodge. Great location, great walks leave the car behind.
Beautiful property with beautiful scenery
Property was clean, it has everything you need for your stay there including milk, chocolates and wine on arrival.
Alison’s communication is wonderful & nothing is too much trouble.
Two large double bedrooms, large kitchen, large living room & lovely space on the decking is more than enough for you too enjoy your time exploring the surroundings.
Definitely would recommend anyone to stay here & hopefully return ourselves
Absolutely enjoyed it!
We had an amazing time at Hollytree Lodge. There is everything you might need for a comfortable stay. The landscape is beautiful, the views are stunning. It is very close to Windermere Lake so the strolls we took were wonderful. We loved having our meals on the decking outside in the sun. Overall it was amazing and I would really recommend staying at Hollytree lodge. My children had a great time participating in the pony treks which makes it family friendly and fun for everyone.
Comfortable, clean and spacious property. Hopefully will return!
Excellent communication from the start with the proprietor, Alison.
Visited with elderly parents, had searched for a property suitable for our needs, including ease of access and spacious. When we arrived, we were not disappointed. Dad uses Oxygen, but this was no problem.
Cabin Spotlessly clean and comfortable. Site very quiet.
Box of chocolates, bottle of wine and milk in the fridge for our arrival. Would have loved to stay longer! Thank you Alison

Lovely lodge in a fantastic location
We stayed here for 3 nights as a family with 2 children (4 and 8 years old). The location was fantastic and the lodge was perfect, clean and with all the facilities needed to have a relaxing stay. Thanks to Alison for the personal touches. Hoping to get back and would definitely recommend.
