Lovely lodge. Clean and tidy and very helpful owner

  • 5 of 5

Stayed here between 6th and 13th August. Lovely spacious lodge with great decor. There were 5 of us so our son had the pull out bed. Which was not the usual flimsy ones. Lots of room and hanging space in bedrooms and one bedroom has ensuite. Located close to play area and 2 minute walk to on site pub. Ideal location to visit Windemere, Kendal or Keswick. Weather wasn't great but the lodge amenities and space inside we didn't feel crapped. Would highly recommend this lodge.

Lovely break

  • 4 of 5

Just had a 3 night break visiting family & stayed at the lodge as we couldn't find a cottage with private parking. Lovely lodge, nicely decorated & clean on arrival. Just what we needed to return to in the evenings our busy days out. Nice touch leaving a bottle of wine & a pint of milk, but where were the chocs Alison, which have been referred to in previous reviews & included in a lot of nice comments in the visitors book? Lovely site too, a real break away.

Owner's Response: Thanks Debbie for your review and lovely comments. So sorry about the chocs, only realised when home, 35 miles away that I had left them in the car. Chocs in the post by way of an apology. Kind regards, Alison

Exceptionally clean and welcoming place!

  • 5 of 5

We have been to Limefitt Park before and had a good experience, but this time Alison's hospitality and care has been impressive. Not only that we found a spotless place with good quality mattresses, bedsheets and towels, but she also left a bottle of wine, chocolates and some milk for children.

The lodge was airy and nicely decorated and the central heating and hot water worked very well.

Lots of leaflets with places to visit were available as well as clear instructions on how to use the house equipment and who to contact if something went wrong.

We were initially thinking to go for a luxury lodge, but Hollytree Lodge was very good value for money and we enjoyed our stay.

Thank you again Alison for being such a goodles host.

Also,Limefitt Park overall is a stunning part of world and if you are lucky to get a few dry days it feels amazing.

Why anywhere else?

  • 5 of 5

Our short stay was the perfect tonic to a busy life. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine, box of chocolates and a warm lodge with which to start our holiday. The booking process was easy and we were assured it would be fine for our five month old and our first holiday away together. It was. I'm sure if she could talk she'd agree we all had a great time.

The lodge is spacious, clean and perfectly located. It's in a quiet spot, a short drive from the lake, which adds to its serenity. In the other direction you're straight into the hills. You really can do as much or as little as you like.

We would heartily recommend it to couples and families alike!! Enjoy.

Fabulous getaway

  • 5 of 5

We were so in need of a short break away. We have visited the Lake District On many occasions, normally staying in a guest house.

The lodge is of the highest standard, excellent location, friendly owner, highly recommended and we will be booking a return visit.

Just what we needed

  • 5 of 5

We had a long weekend here at this lovely lodge and it was everything that it said it was. It was spacious, clean and tidy and was a home from home feel that we were able to completely relax in which was the purpose of our stay which was a good thing as it rained pretty much most of the time we were there but that did not bother us in the slightest.

We did not arrive till late but it was warm once in the property and the owner left a bottle of wine and some chocolates and milk in the fridge, such lovely touches and thought that make you feel welcome. The bedrooms were a good size and the beds were comfy.....

We As the weather was so bad we did not get out much but when we did the sights are amazing and if plenty to do and the site was in perfect distance to everywhere you wanted to go.

Alison was excellent with us and responded to everything that I asked, I would definitely recommend this property and I would certainly stay here again but in the summer months this time.
