Chalet in Millbrook, Cornwall, England - Peaceful Location, Short Walk To The Beach
About Julie Jouning
My name is Julie, my family and I have spent many happy holidays down in Cornwall. Whitsand is a beautiful place. I remember when I first saw the location and fell in love with it straight away. Even years on the views still take my breath away. We have two children who are now both at university and live near Windsor.
Julie Jouning purchased this Chalet in 2008
Why Julie Jouning chose Saint John
We chose this location as we wanted a get away, from the London rat race. It is the perfect get away. This coast line is so beautiful, the beach is never busy. And ther is a great cliff top cafe which sells home made food and they will make you up rolls to take to the beach. There are also vegan and gluten free options . We have recently redecorated and put new furniture and curtains in our lodge.
What makes this Chalet unique
The property is easy to maintain and within 5 mins of arriving we can be sat down with a glass of wine, open up the French doors and enjoy the fabulous views ! The Jacuzzi is extremely popular and if for sole use of this property. It is treated with chlorine so if you or your children have skin conditions please be aware.

Spacious house, fantastic location was a perfect holiday!
The house is well maintained and has a great view. The sandy beach which is a short walk from house plus the view is ideal for those looking for complete peace and tranquility with its range of luxurious features. Julie is a nice host and accommodative of any special requests.
The cottage is couple of levels down from car park, if you travelling with lot of luggage be prepared to push the trolley on rough track.
Amazing views and walk to beach
We had a lovely experience staying here. The lodge was well kitted out and very clean. Excellently presented. Beautiful views and the hot tub was the icing on the cake for my teenager guests 😊 thank you

Gorgeous lodge in well located holiday park
Lots of space for our family of 5 with friends staying too. Lovely beach just 5 minutes walk away down very steep cliff path. Lots to do locally and lovely chilled time spent in hot tub too!! Nespresso machine was much appreciated in the mornings. Julie was very helpful prior to and during our stay.
Peaceful and calming
We really enjoyed our stay over the 5 days we were there in August, would have been great to have stayed another day or 2. Lodge is very well kitted out, with everything you could ask for. The only thing that was not great was the shower in the en-suite, it was broken and we were not able to use it. Beds were really comfortable, plenty of hot water, and lots of space for all of us to move around the lodge and each have our own space.
Hot tub was lovely, views were great, and we really relaxed and would recommend it as a great place to stay.
Another advantage for us was we were able to take our 4 legged member of the family.
Only off putting thing, and that was nothing to do with the lodge or the owner who was very friendly and helpful, was the lady at the reception. She was not very helpful, initially told me we were not booked in, and I had to contact the owner. I showed her the email stating the dates and that we had to just go to reception to collect the pool passes and to be shown were the lodge was, she disagreed with me and said they had nothing to do with it, once the owner had been contacted and confirmed the reservation, no apologies were given, then we were given the pool pass and car sticker for the parking, told where to go etc. When we arrived at the lodge, there was someone else in it, a very embarrassing situation. Back to the reception once more, and called the owner on the way, who said that we had been given the wrong lodge number. Again, no apologies from the lady at the office, so not a great way to start the holiday.
Apart from that, we would look at going back again. Some lovely coastal walks and beaches, and an enjoyable place to stay. Thanks for sharing it with us!
Very clean and well equipped which made for a comfortable stay.
A lovely lodge in a super position with far reaching views. Very peaceful and quiet. We really enjoyed sunbathing on the decking, using the fab hot tub and admiring the views.
