Chalet in Millbrook, Cornwall, England - Peaceful Location, Short Walk To The Beach

A large 3 bedroom self catering lodge situated on the stunning cliff top of Whitsand Bay, Cornwall. Located in the gated community of Whitsand Bay Holiday Park just a road back from the cliff leading down to the beach, ideally situated for a seaside holiday. The lodge itself is fully equipped with everything you need. The park has facilities which includes an inside pool. There is wifi in the lodge and in the communal areas. There is a very good restaurant within walking distant and cawsand has a number of good pubs. Plymouth is a short drive away ,if you use the ferry at torpoint. There is a large cinema ,bowling and a dry ski slope. There is also mount Edgecombe a short drive away where there are beautiful gardens and national trust . You can also get a ferry across to the William Yard docks ,where there are nice restaurants and some small shops. There are so beautiful places to visit in Cornwall you will not run out of things to do.

There is a Jacuzzi at the property but there is an additional cost of £110 if you would like the use of it . We change the water after every guest which takes a few hours ,so may need time to heat up before using.

Outside: Around the lodge is decking with some seating and a table. There is a gate attached allowing pets to be kept in. There is a clean and fresh linen once a week but if more is required I should be able to arrange this. All linen is supplied except beach towels. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen are included. These will be changed weekly. If cleaning or linen is required more often then this will need to be pre-arranged at additional cost. Other: TV and DVD in master bedroom.

Perfect location, beautiful scenery, good on site facilities. Lovely comfortable clean lodge.

Lodge is very comfy and fully equipped with everything you could need (although no bbq). Hot tub is amazing! Child and dog friendly. Beautiful view over the hills and Plymouth. Right on beach but very steep walk down and up! Facilities on site are also good for families ate in both cafe and pub restaurant both were good. Swimming pool kids loved too. Easy access to local villages with beachs of kingsands and cawsands. Local restaurant the view is amazing highly recommend. Overall great stay would definitely recommend and return.

We really enjoyed our stay at this lodge. It is a great size and even a group of six of us had plenty of space of our own. The accomodation is of a high standard with great facilities. They have literally provided everything you can think of. The views from the lodge are glorious and you are sited so you have a lot of privacy. My greatest recommendation is to use the jacuzzi/ hot tub facility. It was so lovely to sit there watching the orange sunsets after a fun packed day.

Beautiful lodge

Beautiful lodge on a small park with stunning views from the hot tub. Gorgeous Dog friendly beach, but beware it's quite a hike down to it. Found another fabulous beach at Seaton which is dog friendly all year round which we highly recommend for ease of access. Small friendly supermarket within easy reach just 6 miles away at Torpoint. Took day trips to Looe and Polperro and only found out when it was too late that you could get a ferry to Plymouth from Cawsand just a 4 mile drive away.

Recommended restaurant The FinnyGook at Crafthole. So good we went back for a second meal in our one week stay. Thank you Julie for allowing us to stay

Car: necessary


Whitsand Bay has a 5 mile sandy beach. It is accessed by a steep path and takes around 10 minutes to get down to. Nearby there are other beaches with easier access.


Use of a car is advisable. Nearest village is Millbrook which is a 1.5 miles away. Nearest airports are Bristol and Exeter. There is a small airport at Newquay. Plymouth is the nearest town which can be reach via ferry or bridge. The journey takes around 20 minutes by car. There is a small convenience store on site for essential items.

Further Details:

There are plenty of restaurants in the area. The site has it's own restaurant. There is also a beach top cafe which is a 5 minute walk away. A 10 minute walk will take you The View Restaurant, which is well regarded in the area.

Additional information about rental rates

Refundable damage deposit $258.72
Pet Fee $25.87

Booking Notes:
A 10% non returnable deposit is required at the time of booking. The balance due 1 month before arrival. There is also a £200 deposit required against breakages. This is payable with the final payment and will be returned once the holiday is complete.

Changeover Day:
Friday or Saturdays. Minimum stay is usually one week but alternative arrangements can be requested. Arrival time is 4pm and departure is 12 noon, although subject to timings of previous or futures bookings alternatives can be arranged.
There is an additional cost for the Jacuzzi if you would like to use it , of £110

I will send out a holiday contract for you to sign with all payment details included. You can either do a transfer or pay by cheque. There is a jacuzzi with this property if you wish to use it there is an additional cost of £110 per booking
