Experience the Maltese way of life in this lovely corner, cosy, ground floor Maisonette which is just a few minutes walk away from the historic capital city Valletta and the main bus terminus. This is a typical Maltese dwelling and is furnished as such. It is spacious and very well kept. It has a private entrance , large air conditioned sitting room and a separate well equipped kitchen/dining room. Two air conditioned Bedrooms, a bathroom, a shower/toilet and a small yard. Sleeps 10- Main bedroom with double bed, another bedroom with 4 single beds and 2 comfortable sofa beds in the living room.
Whilst it is situated in a typical quite and safe Maltese neighbourhood it is at the same time in a unique location, right upon the fortifications built by the knights of St. John overlooking Malta's Grand Harbour. Enjoy pleasant strolls in the quite nearby public garden whilst enjoying breath taking views of Grand Harbour or else walk for a few minutes more to end up in Valletta- The European Capital City for Culture 2018 which is also a World Heritage Site. It is equally easy to get the ferry to cross the Grand Harbour to reach the 3 cities which are also a must when one is visiting Malta. A children's playground can also be reached within a few minutes. Combine the above to the fact the main bus terminal is just a few minutes away and that all buses pass from Floriana and one can easily come to the conclusion that strategically Floriana is one of the best places to stay at when visiting Malta. Floriana itself hosts numerous events throughout the year such as the Carnival Parade, the Isle of MTV concert, Firework Festivals and more.

The apartment is situated in a very ideal location for bringing up a family, quite and safe neighbourhood, close to all amenities with access to public garden and spaces.
It used to be our home but then became too small when as the family got bigger. We still take care of it as it were still our home and it does give a homely feeling to those who stay.
The property is at ground floor level whilst the vast majority of dwellings in Floriana and Valletta are flats with stairs. Enjoys private entrance. Pay per use Aircondition is also available. This corner property is cosy and enjoys natural light.
The owners were friendly & efficient, communication was prompt.
We chose to be met at the airport and even though our plane was delayed it went smoothly. Patrick met us and on the journey in told us about Malta (it was our first visit). When we arrived at the flat he gave us more information and went out of his way to be helpful, it was over the New Year and he knew about opening times, buses etc..
The apartment is spacious, well equipped and clean. It is in an excellent position. It is a short walk from the Waterfront, City gate, ferry & bus station. (We found the bus service easy to manage & cheap).
You can buy most things you need for self catering at the little local shops round the corner; bakers, butchers, greengrocers & general stores.
Fabulous traditional Maltese ground floor apartment with everything you need. Patrick met us at the airport & gave us a quick tour & general info guide on the way, & Anna was waiting on arrival. The photos really don't do this large apartment justice, and there is so much space. The location is perfect, & you can be right in the centre of Valletta in less than 10 minutes by simply walking through the bus terminal. The Waterfront is fabulous with Shops & Restaurants & less than 5 minutes walk away. On our second day we woke up to find 3 large cruise liners on the other side of the wall right outside the apartment, where you can sit in the communal garden area to relax at any time. Very clean apartment run by a lovely friendly couple, excellent value for money and would definitely return.
We stayed in this apartment for a week in February. We stayed as a couple, but there's plenty of room for 4, with 2 good bedrooms and bathrooms. It's a clean, comfortable flat and in a very good location from which to explore Malta. 10 minutes pleasant walk gets you into Valletta proper, and a little less than that to the central bus station, from where you can pick up buses to all island locations. You can also reach the nearer bus stops within 5 minutes walk. I wouldn't recommend hiring a car, as the driving seems chaotic to the visitor, and the bus service is pretty good, fun and very cheap.
Floriana itself is a quiet, mainly residential area, and has a selection of quirky local shops, where they manage to cram everything you can want into a very small space, at reasonable prices. Right outside the flat you can look down onto the whole Valletta dock area - always something to see. We even got a little February sunshine to sit on a bench, have a drink and watch things!
The owners are extremely helpful and friendly, and the flat is stocked with a comprehensive range of tourist information about Malta and Gozo. We even got picked up at the airport and driven to the flat. Communication prior to the holiday was good.

The nearest rocky beach is Ta Xbiex 10 min away by bus. The nearest sandy beaches would be St Julians and Pretty Bay. One of the advantages of a small island is that very little time is spent travelling.
Malta International Airport is 6km away.
Valletta the capital is very close by just 7 min walk away.This property is found 15 minutes by bus from the main shopping area and swimming areas of Sliema. St Julians and Paceville are 30 min away.It takes 25 minutes bus to reach the old capital Mdina and Roman Villa in Rabat. 35 minutes bus to prehistoric temples. 40 minutes bus to the sandy beaches of Mellieha. 45 minutes bus to the Cirkewwa port leading to the island of Gozo.
In Floriana one can find small shops for everyday needs and also cafes. At short walking distance and within the area one finds an ATM and a bank, doctor's clinic, stationery and post office. There is also a traditional local baker from where you can buy freshly baked Maltese bread or ftira. The waterfront is within walking distance where you can dine whilst enjoying the magnificent grand harbour views.

A booking requires a 40% deposit and the balance is to be paid on arrival. Payment can be made through paypal or bank transfer.

Quoted prices are for 4 persons. Additional guests are charged at £10 per person per night. Price INCLUDES water and electricity consumption, cable TV and Wi-Fi internet fresh linen and towels. A cleaning fee of 20GBP applies.
Long lets also available, rates upon request from owner with a monthly rate, in such case utilities will not be included in the rate.
