We stayed here for a week whilst visiting the Island. Even though it was hot weather, the room was lovely and cool, as well as being very comfortable, clean and relaxing. Beautiful views of the sea from the garden and a few minutes walk took us to watch the badgers at night feeding and walking up the lane. Mark and Eve were very welcoming and always on hand if we had an enquiry. Would highly recommend the Boat house studio.
Just stayed at Mark & Eve's delightful studio for 3 nights. Not much else to say but simply wonderful. Marvelous spot. Never previously been to the IOW & this was an excellent base to tour the entire island over the course of 4 days or so. Mark & Eve are lovely, very welcoming and more than happy that we had our small dog with us. Kept the 3 cats entertained anyway! Highly recommended.
Just had a fantastic holiday in this fab little find, extremely clean, the studio was even better in reality than the photos and the photos are good, after a day out walking and touring the island it was great to come back to a good shower and a very comfy bed. Mark and Eve have got a gem of a place and are on hand if you need anything. It is in the perfect location for walking holidays being right on the coastal path. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the studio to friends. Places to visit - Steephill cove, Ventnor botanical gardens, cable car at the Needles, get a day rider for the buses (or longer) leave the car and see the island from the top deck of the bus hop on and off where ever you fancy. We hope to return soon!
My friend and I brought my 9 year old neice here for two nights. Eve and Mark sent us very clear directions to get there and were extremely welcoming when we arrived. The studio was lovely and clean and Eve and Mark had kindly provided some breakfast and snacks which was wonderful of them.
The gazebo in the garden was amazing with gorgeous views and it was lovely to sit out there each evening as the sun was going down, there is even a heater for when the temperature drops!
We would highly recommend this studio - it was all together a very lovely experience! My niece has been raving about it since we left! She is desperate to return!
Thank you again Eve & Mark!
Came to Ventnor for the Fringe Festival.
The studio was well above our expectations and we were made to feel very at home.
The studio itself is much bigger than I expected. It was very recently refurbished. Both Eve and Mark were very proud of what they had done with the place - and rightly so.
It is a lovely walk into ventor, and a perfect place to run or walk.
On a few occasions we sat in the garden and had a wee drink. You won't get that option in any other accommodation!
Eve and Mark were helpful, respectful of our space, and available if we needed anything.
It was my first time on the island. If I return, I will definitely stay at the boathouse again.
My wife and I with our 1 year old son stayed here for a week. The owners were amazing, great welcome, the studio was spotless with everything laid on for a comfortable stay.
There was even a BBQ to use for cooking breakfasts or freshly caught fish.
We could not fault the accommodation in any way and the owners would do anything to assist, giving directions, places of interest or where to go to buy certain things. Great double yolk eggs too. So if you are thinking of renting it out go for it. Great walks, climate, plants, beaches, restaurants etc.
