About Peter & Teresa Hoult

Hi we are the owners of 8 Rudd Lake we have had a static caravan on Tattershall Country Park for the last 2 years and love it here, when we saw the new development around Rudd Lake we asked if we could have a look at a lodge and instantly fell in love, we hope you will too. It is central to a lot of places but it also has a lot going on on site so if you just want to sit back and relax or you want something a bit more energetic the choice is yours. We are situated on the fishing lake opposite Tattershall castle a beautiful view to wake up to every morning. We have tried to make the lodge a home from home and it has everything you need to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Peter & Teresa Hoult purchased this chalet in 2014

Stunning lodge with a beautiful view

  • 5 of 5

As soon as we opened the door this lodge had the 'wow' factor with its beautiful view and very tastefully decorated open plan living. It really is home from home and we wouldn't stay anywhere else. We have already booked our next break in this lodge and only been back a few hours. The owners are lovely and reply very quickly, the site has had millions spent on it this year making the outdoor activities even more appealing and perfect for family breaks, thanks so much for owning and renting out such a beautiful lodge, we are already missing it x

Stunning location. Gorgeous lodge.

Stayed for 1 week. We have travelled lots but this lodge is by far superior to others. Very comfortable with everything you could possibly need. Perfect location for relaxing. Lots on site to do if you so wish to. Perfect for exploring area. If you like jets you have your own airshow due to RAF Base nearby. Was lucky enough to see the Lancaster bomber flying over. Lovely shopping in Lincoln. Lovely country pub in walking distance. Owners were extremely pleasant and helpful. We will be back very soon!

A very clean and well laid out chalet, airy and spacious with all modern conveniences . Hard parking space. Quiet and peaceful with a very nice veranda over looking Rudd lake where we observed many aquatic birds and a fleeting visit on the veranda rail of a kingfisher. During the day it was great to see and hear the typhoon fighters fly overhead from nearby Coningsby airfield, also the home of the battle of Britain memorial flight so had daily passes of spitfires and hurricanes. A visit to the museum there is a must. We would have no hesitation in recommending this property to any one.

We had not been told exact location of the chalet on the site, but thanks to the reception centre soon found out.

Beautiful place

  • 5 of 5

What an amazing little find, this holiday lodge was absolutely beautiful, well equipped and cosy inside with great views from the balcony outside, great location on the site.

We were blessed with fabulous weather which made our stay even better. Our boys thoroughly enjoyed themselves, waking up in the morning to feed the ducks, geese and swan from the balcony then a short bike ride to the park and a little fishing with dad right next door to the lodge! With the nice weather they spent most of the time playing with their toys on the balcony where it was nice and safe (just had to find toys that our youngest, 9 months couldn't post through the bars into the lake!).

BBQ on the balcony watching the world go by and a relaxing rest in the evening watching the activity in the lake. Our castle trip was good, great views from the top and a huge sandpit at the side to keep our eldest son busy. All in all a really lovely stay creating beautiful family memories, thank you for letting us share your lodge, we would recommend to others and hope to return again in the future. Thank-you.

Owner's Response: Hi We are really pleased that you found our lodge so amazing we try and make it a home from home and as we've always had self catering holidays ourselves we know the short falls when accommodation is not well equipped. I'm so pleased you've had such a great time and hope you will return again one day. Regards Teresa & Peter

Again following on from the previous reviewer, upon opening the door the first word out of our mouths were WOW!! The photographs do not do the lodge justice. It is absolutely stunning in an amazing location. It was amazing that although you can see the main road from the lodge you couldn't hear any road noise. The facilities in the lodge were second to none and had all the utensils needed. Our boys were amazed to open the curtains in the morning to have ducks and geese (and babies) sitting next to the lodge without a care in the world. They want to return to the lodge just to stay and use the facilities on the park. What a gem.

For the Gym and Swimming pool you need to have a pass which is an additional cost from reception, passes are for 3 days or 7 days and cover all in your party.
