Lodge - Winderme, Lake District, Cumbria, England - Very Peaceful Locatio
About Louise Banks
I live in north of England with my husband and 2 teenage children. We both work and enjoy holidaying whenever we can either abroad or in this country. With owning Sunny Bank Lodge it means we can get away at short notice and enjoy the many attractions that the beautiful Lake District has to offer.
Louise Banks purchased this Cabin in 2014
Why Louise Banks chose Windermere
We decided to buy this lodge on White Cross Bay as we live in the Lake District but never holiday in the area. Now with having Sunny Bank Lodge when it's not let out we can just jump in the car and be there within 20 minutes to enjoy the peace and tranquillity that the lodge has to offer as well as having the Lake District literally on the door step.
What makes this Cabin unique
White Cross Bay holiday Park is nestled between Windermere and Ambleside and only 2 miles away from Windermere train station. Perfect getaway in perfect location
Everything about this trip was perfect. Louise was so friendly and helpful, everything we needed was thought of. The accommodation was beautiful and clean. Beds super comfortable.
We saw lots of wildlife around the lodge, ducks and even a baby deer.
It was in the perfect position to explore the lakes and local attractions.
Thank you Louise for a most enjoyable stay, we will be back.
Nice n beautiful
Very well equipped
The lodge it self was perfect inside and out and had a lovely homely feel to it. The staff at the park were very friendly and helpful with any enquiries we had. If anybody is thinking about visiting the the lakes this lodge makes the ideal base for exploring..... Thank you Louise i will definitely be staying again in the future 😊
Perfect base to explore the lakes
We had a very pleasant stay over May half term. The lodge was clean and well presented with ample space for ourselves and our two daughters. The kitchen was well equipped. It was within walking distance of Brockhole for the ferry to Wray Castle and within easy reach of Ambleside and Windermere. We ate in the restaurant one evening and the food was good....we would just suggest getting in the queue early to avoid a long wait! The pool is bookable for a 45 minute slot which the girls enjoyed but again it would be advisable to book at least the night before to be sure of space. Would highly recommend.
Lovely lodge, great site and location!
Great cabin with all you need provided, great location.
Only downside is the beds aren’t the greatest.
Would definitely stay again.
Thank you for your review and I’m pleased you thought the cabin was great and would stay again. I’m sorry to read the beds weren’t the greatest as I did replace the mattress to the master bedroom last year, thanks for the feed back much appreciated and I will look into that.
