Couldn`t have wished for a nice place to stay than corner cottage in Ashford in the water. Peaceful, cosy, and everything you could wish for . Spotlessly clean and very well equipped we will definitely be back.
Clean and comfortable place to stay. Good location. I feel it is misleading to say the cottage is suitable for the elderly and infirm, even on the ground floor there is a step into each room. We stayed with my father who is in his mid eighties, he needed to take care even downstairs and we felt only bedroom 1 was suitable for him.
Fantastic cottage in a great location for exploring the Peak District.
Stayed with friends and our dog. Having three bathrooms was great.
Cottages had all facilities we could have ever needed.
My wife, baby, my parents, and myself, with dog in tow, stayed 3 nights in this perfect family holiday home. The house was warm and cozy with all the mod cons, while maintaining a genuine country cottage feel. We normally pack too much kitchen gear for holiday homes, but there was no need, as the kitchen was kitted out with everything we needed for home cooking, coffee, tea, etc. The beds were all clean and comfortable and we all had our own bathrooms. There was more than enough space for us to have our privacy, with lovely communal living and dining rooms. The village is picturesque with two pubs, a tea room, and local shop. With Bakewell and Chatsworth, so close by and so many walking trails, there is always something to do. We have stayed in many holiday homes all over the country and this was definitely one of the best.
6 of us had a great weekend in this sweet little cottage. Only drawback is the low beams on the stairs. Comfy rooms, bathrooms, Very well equipped kitchen. Comfy for six. Good idea to book table in local restaurants as soon as you arrive ton avoid disappointment
A great cottage for a family weekend, ideally located. Ashford was lovely, had dinner in the Bull's Head on the first night; with a pram and a dog in tow they were very accommodating and good food/ale to boot.
We spent a day around Chatsworth's magnificent grounds and also went on a nice walking route to Bakewell and back.
