We found this area whilst on out honeymoon in Spain, and love the unspoilt desert scenery of the Cabo de Gata, and the Spanish family feel of the resort of Roquetas de Mar.
What makes this Apartment unique
There is plenty to do for all the family, with playparks on the beach, a long promenade with stalls and entertainments in the Summer, and fantastic tapas bars and seafood restaurants. The beach runs the length of the town, so is seldom crowded, and is just a 5 minute walk from the apartment.

Excellent apartment in a great location
The apartment was spotlessly clean and very well equipped for a holiday. The location was ideal with plenty of parking and just a 5 minute walk from the promenade, where there were some excellent restaurants and cafes. Weather brilliant for March; great holiday!
Apartment not suitable for our needs,and as we don't go out at nights English TV would have been appreciated.
I'm afraid that we dont have English TV...the apartment is in Spain, and we find that most guests like to take in the Spanish atmosphere in the town, or eat Al Fresco on the apartment terrace overlooking the pool, rather than watching English TV! However there is English TV in some of the English bars in the town, for those occasions when it is missed! We are disappointed that the guests gave us 1 star on this point alone, as it is clearly stated in the ad that the TV is Spanish Freeview, and there is a DVD player and a selection of English DVDs too.
We found the directions difficult to follow so we had to get the property manager to meet us which he kindly did. We found the property to be very run down & unclean. Mop bucket was full of dirty water, the sofa was shedding bits off the plastic cover, bedding & throws were stained, cutlery & crockery had to all be washed before use. But worse was the bathroom which was sticky, both the bath & toilet had to be scrubbed, there was no toilet paper or cleaning materials. The final straw was when I was almost attacked getting out of the lift by bulldog, this in an apartment block that is supposed to be dog free. So we left after only 15 days of a 31 day booking and found alternative accommodation. When we contacted the owner we found her to be unsympathetic and unhelpful. We would not recommend this apartment in the state it is in to anyone.
We were very shocked to see these comments; when my manager met the guests they were very pleased with the apartment and the cleanliness. It was more than 2 weeks later that the guests said that they wanted to leave and only then did they mention any issues. They could have called our manager at any time if they had had a problem.
There are no dogs allowed in our apartment, or in the communal grounds, but the complex itself isnt "dog free" and I'm afraid that we really cannot be held responsible for the behaviour of other people's dogs.
We feel that these guests wanted to leave due to personal circumstances, and thought they would try to get a refund. As we had already offered an extremely cheap rate for the month we were unable to do that. On top of that, when my manager inspected the apartment after these guests had left, she found that they had left it in a very untidy state, with the gentleman having seemingly cut his hair in the corner of the room and left it there!!
After fastidious cleaning after these guests left, the apartment is is a perfect state to be let out, and we have had many happy guests throughout the year.

IS A DELIGHTFUL RESORT AND I CAN RECOMMEND THE RESORT AND THE APPARTMENT.
l'appartement est très sympa, bonne vue sur la piscine et très propre, bien aménagé , espace piscine très bien entretenue !!! aucune mauvaise surprise !!! il est très agréable pour une petite famille. la résidence est très sympa, calme et bien situé.

The resort is relaxed and quiet, and has a typically Spanish feel, making it ideal for families and couples. Notes on prices: Electricity is on a coin meter accepting 1 and 2 euro coins. This costs about 10 euros per week, depending on usage of air conditioning. The rent has been reduced to allow for this.
