Bungalow in Wootton, New Forest, Rural, Peaceful Location, perfect for forest walks but still close to lovely beaches.
About Kay Searle
Hi We are Kelvin & Kay and we have spent many happy holidays in the New Forest, 5 years ago we decided to take the plunge and move away from the hectic county of Surrey. We were very fortunate to have found Twistlewood and have wasted no time in sorting out the garden, and orchard. We also have 5 ducks which have been laying well and many guests have enjoyed the eggs. Kelvin enjoys cooking and baking cakes, you may be lucky enough to taste his Dorset apple cake. We are an easy going couple and when we have time enjoy visiting our local pubs and restaurants.
Kay Searle purchased this Bungalow in 2013
Why Kay Searle chose New Milton
We chose this location for its rural feel and closeness to the beaches at Barton on Sea and Highcliffe. New Milton High Street has all we need on a daily basis or we can get to Bournemouth or Southampton if we want to.
What makes this Bungalow unique
At Twistlewood you can enjoy peace and quiet, hear the birds sing from dawn to dusk, unwind and relax in the tranquil setting. Enjoy the well appointed kitchen facilities or head out to one of the local pubs for your meals and after a long day exploring the Forest you can return to Twistlewood and pamper yourself in the beautiful shower room.

Nicely appointed annexe in a beautiful and peaceful spot.
Small but well appointed with many extra goodies included.
thanks for the review we are pleased you enjoyed the peace and tranquillity that Twistlewood offers, and glad you were able to walk into the forest straight from the annex and enjoyed seeing the Ponies and cattle roaming by the gate.

Excellent location and great accommodation
This is an excellent place to stay to get the most from a visit to the New Forest.
It is located within the Forest with plenty of Forest walks close by (try the New Forest National Park Walks app for walk ideas and guided walks on your phone).
The accommodation is very clean, comfortable and well maintained and if the weather does turn to the cool side it is warm and cosy inside.
The location is very quite and peaceful, with no passing road traffic although cows and ponies do occasionally stroll past the house.
The owners Kay and Kevin are very welcoming, accommodating and helpful.
As it is situated at the South end of the New Forest it is ideally situated to get to the coast, for a visit to Beaulie Manor House and Motor Museum, Lymington and Brockenhurst.
Paul & Susie, thanks you both so much for this review we are so happy that you enjoyed your stay and were able to do all the things you wanted and then return to the comfort and peace and quiet of the annex to recharge your batteries, we hope you will return angain one day soon .
regards Kay & Kelvin
A beautifully presented annex ideally placed to explore the New Forest
Kelvin and Kay's beautiful annex made for a fantastic getaway to the New Forest over the Easter weekend. When we arrived they had left a basket of goodies including some delicious duck eggs and Easter treats. They have lots of useful information about the area. We found the annex was perfectly placed to enjoy the many cycle paths (and pubs!) that were nearby. Kelvin and Kay were extremely helpful throughout our stay and nothing was too much trouble!
We had a great time and would love to come back in the future!
