Our fabulous family Penthouse apartment, Casa Maulin, with astonishing mountain and sea views, fully equipped and furnished. It has two separate sun terraces and a spectacular huge 110 m2 roof terrace with sunbeds, new 1,80 meters typical Spanish stone barbecue and shower, ideal for a fresco dining. The spectacular view is truly panoramic, overlooking the mountains surrounding the city of Nerja and the sea at distance. At night whilst enjoying a nightcap, you can see the atmospheric lights of Nerja. The Penthouse, Casa Maulin, is located in one of the most popular areas of Nerja in between the beach and the Europe Balcony in "old town". It’s a quiet and exclusive urbanization with 8 minutes walk to the beautiful Burriana Beach and 15-20 minutes walk to the centre of Nerja with estimated 500 restaurants.

Nerja is only 45 minutes from Malaga airport and within 1 1/2 hour from Granada and lies between small coves, untouched by development and with breathtaking mountain scenery. With its exceptionally good weather all year round, Nerja offers everything the holidaymaker could wish for. The common pool will be found just a few steps from the apartment. AC is installed in the kitchen/living room area and in all the bedrooms. You will also find a solar controlled system for heating and ventilation.

Casa Maulin is situated high with an amazing view, but due to the hilly area the apartment will not be suitable for disabled persons.

Fast WiFi is available as option for a cost of 3 Euro per day.

Please respect our indoor non-smoking-policy! Pets are not allowed in the Community. Outside: The magnificent private roof terrace is furnished with table and chairs, parasol, sun loungers and shower. This is the perfect place for the evening barbecue dinner. You may also enjoy the beautiful Nerja sunset from any of the other two terraces, also furnished with table and chairs. There is also a shared pool in the Community, which is open from April to October. Final cleaning is included if staying more than 6 nights. Otherwise€90 will be added. High chair and cot hire are available at an extra cost of €20 per stay for both. Fast WiFi is optional. (€3 per day)

Beautiful apartment....beautiful Nerja!!

Sadly just arrived home following a simply stunning holiday in Nerja and this apartment,we now know why it is so popular,it was probably one of the best apartments we have ever stayed in, superbly equipped and in a great location with beautiful views from all terraces,the roof terrace being our favourite!....the apartment has everything you could wish for on holiday,air-con,wifi,2 bathrooms,dishwasher,washing machine and a proper bbq on the roof terrace,there are 2 supermarkets within a 5-10 minute walk and the stunning Burriana beach is 10 mins walk downhill where there are lots of restaurants and bars,it took us about 20-25 mins to walk into Nerja town and the Balcon de Europe but taxis where plentifull if you opted for this as Nerja is quite hilly,we usually walked into town a took a taxi back,this was our first time in Nerja and we fell in love with it and are planning to return next year and obviously stay in this wonderfull apartment,thanks to the owners who were amazing from the first time we contacted them to the day we returned home......see you next year!!!!!

Lovely home and perfect hosts

Gert & Gun-Britt have been so kind and helpful in the planning of our trip, they have made the whole process easy and pleasurable for me. Lovely people with a home a few minutes away from the most beautiful beach. The pool is fantastic, we never seen more than two other people there at one time and mostly it was just us, it's also the perfect temperature! The beds are very comfy and air conditioning in all rooms is a real asset.

If you haven't been to Nerja before it's the perfect place for a good balance of tourism and tradition. Plenty of Spanish people live here along side the English and other nationalities. It seems authentic but not intimidating. Plenty to do here and around the area, beautiful town and beach.

Lovely apartment, great views

Lovely apartment as described. Granddaughter particularly enjoyed making friends at pool. Beautiful mountain views from terraces. Some of our party did find hill from beach/up to main road a bit challenging especially in heat! Taxis usually available though. We would all come back and had a really good time and no hesitation in recommending.

Wonderful Apartment, pool and service

Super guidelines and service from owners. All corresponding to description of apartment, except the pool was even closer than we thought and the views from all 3 terraces also better than expected! Soooo nice. Beautiful beach - go all the way to the left by the cliffs, go 2 metres from shore and put you head into the water and experience the rich fish life! Can absolutely recommend Casa Maulin and Nerja. Hope to return one day - did'nt want to go back home ;-)

Nerja is fantastic

Nerja är fantastiskt!

Efter att ha sett Nerja första gången i ett tv-program, var jag helt såld. Dit skulle jag! Familjen, som består av man och tre" barn", 18, 20, 22, var inte sena att övertalas heller.

Att hitta ett boende kan vara knepigt, det ska ju kännas rätt, och det gjorde det när vi fann Casa Maulin. Från början har allt genomsyrats av ordning, reda och professionalitet. Klara besked, konkreta tips och råd, mejlkontakt vid olika bekräftelser och en mycket tydlig och proffsig folder över Casa Maulin.

Har känts mycket tryggt!

Väl i Nerja, bekräftades beskrivningen av en mycket fräsch, välutrustad och välplanerad lägenhet med en helt fantastisk utsikt.

Vi har haft 8 underbara dagar i Nerja med massor av sol, bad, god mat och goda drycker och bra shopping. Området kring Balcon de Europa är helt fantastiskt!

Att rekommendera är att hyra bil. Det gjorde inte vi, men det underlättar mycket vid utflykter och förflyttningar längre sträckor i den backiga milj ön. Nästa gång hyr vi bil!

Tack Gun-Britt och Gert för att vi fick möjlighet att hyra er fantastiska bostad!

Owner's Response: Hej Lotta Tack för ditt trevliga omdöme. Det har varit ett rent nöje att ha er som gäster, i dubbel bemärkelse! Vår städerska Sylvia tyckte ni lämnade lägenheten så ovanligt fin! Vi håller med när det gäller bil. Dels kan man se mer av omgivningarna och dels sparar man på krafterna om man slipper alla backar! Bilen möjliggör också ett antal ”måsten” såsom att besöka Frigilliana, Alhamra, Granada mm. Vi hoppas båda få nöjet att höra ifrån er igen!

Fin lägenhet med fantastiskt läge

Vi hade en underbar vecka i Nerja i er fantastiska lägenhet. Stor och ljus med två stora balkonger och en fantastisk takterrass med underbar utsikt över både havet och bergen. Lägenheten ligger så att man inte behöver bil. Det är nära till stranden, restauranger, shopping och till en stor matbutik. I anslutning till lägenheten ligger poolen, med också en fantastisk utsikt. Vi var väldigt nöjda med vår vistelse och ni var väldigt hjälpsamma med snabb service när ett av låsen krånglade. All kontakt vi haft med er har varit väldigt proffigt och snabb återkoppling. Barnen var också väldigt förtjusta över alla strandleksaker som fanns att tillgå. Överlag en väldigt välutrustad lägenhet för både stranden och köket. Dessutom en massa tips, kartor, böcker på utflyktsmål och restauranger att besöka.

Åker vi till Nerja igen så kommer vi absolut att hyra er lägenhet!

We, the owners are a married couple who spend most of the time in Hollviken south of Malmoe, Sweden.

Casa Maulin is our second home and we try to get there as often as possible. The lifestyle in Nerja is great and most of our time is spent outdoors. It is the perfect location if you want to relax and enjoy quality family time. If you do not have a young family it is still a place you can relax on sandy beaches, eat in good restaurants and if you are active there is plenty to keep you entertained within a short distance.

We make a point of ensuring our guests will be as comfortable as possible in Casa Maulin. We have 10-15 guest per year and you will only find positive reviews in our guest book and in different sites on Internet. We hope you enjoy our apartment as much as we do

Why Gun-Britt Maulin chose Nerja

During several journeys we explored the Costa del Sol, looking for our paradise. By a coincidence we found a very nice article about Nerja in a newspaper. When getting there we fell in Love! We knew this was for us! Another 2 trips there and we had also spotted the best area in Nerja for our future home. It was above the Burriana beach close to the center. When this penthouse got on the market we knew instantly we found our second home, the retreat where we instantly feel relaxed.

The pillows and the main part of the linen will be changed before each season. Fridge/frezzer, microwave own and dish washer is also new. The same with AC for all of our bedrooms. That means you will arrive to a very well equipped property, professionally cleaned! But what you will fell in love with is the 2 terraces, together with the astonishing roof terrace.

What makes this apartment unique

You will never forget the excellent views from each one of the 3 terraces. Among them is the amazing roof terrace furnished with sunbeds and dinner table for 6 persons. 2015 we had 1,8 meters typical Spanish stone BBQ installed.

Renting a car is cheap in Spain, but it is also possible to get to Nerja by train from Malaga airport to Malaga city and from there bus to the centre of Nerja.

Another option is taxi with average price 70€ one way.

In a 15 min walk you reach the centre of Nerja town with its typical Spanish touch and the famous Balcon the Europa.

Nerja old town, with its numerous restaurants, pavement bars and shops are virtually unchanged with narrow, winding streets, whitewashed houses with wrought iron terraces overflowing with geraniums.

Local supermarkets are in easy walking distance. There is a large Mercadona store within 5 minutes walk from the apartment.
