Just want to say the biggest thankyou to John and Agnes for going out of their way and making our weekend so extra special. Cant praise you enough for your commitment to ensuring we had everything we needed even when we run out of drink when the shop closed or milk which they run and got from thier own fridge. Such a lovely geniune couple and cabin was perfect better than we could have imagined. We all feeling abit sorry for ourselves now though think we shud have taken your advice and stayed out the loch when it was that cold 3 days later and still feeling the cold. Sitting watching the stars in the hot tub or by the open fire was the perfect way to spend my 30th xx
The cabin and facilities were great. The hot tub was amazing, wood burning fire great and the bed so comfy. Excellent location. Would love to return with kids next time. Thanks for a fantastic break!!
Arrived for a long weekend . Nice quiet location.
Hot tub is a very nice advantage .
A little TLC around the outside of the log cabin would make this place look so much better.
Another suggestion to install Wifi would attract alot more business. Being in an area where phone signal is non existant - it would be beneficial to keep in touch with family.
Reported a fault with heater in bathroom.
Would consider re visiting. Had a lovely weekend
A home from home with everything you could want and more. The cabin was clean, well maintained and has been equipped with a lot of thought. It is set in a relaxing and peaceful location with stunning scenery. The hot tub is the ultimate in relaxation and the decking area is perfect for spending a relaxing evening with a glass of wine and a barbeque whilst the chimnea adds a little warmth if needed. The family of birds nesting by the front door was a bonus as were the ducks visiting twice a day for a "feed". The nearby Seal Sanctuary is a great day out and hiring a boat and exploring the islands on Loch Awe is a definite must... the area is steeped in history and we explored 3 islands, 2 with castle ruins and Inishail which is home to a hidden graveyard containing medieval gravestones and more recently Dukes of Argyll. We all had a great time and I will always have lovely memories of this holiday. I would definitiely recommend this property and would love to return.
Had an absolutely fab time, plenty to do through the day-went to the Avich Falls, hired a boat from Georgia and visited the castle on an island on the loch. The hot tub is amazing with fantastic views of the mountains and loch, we loved nothing more than sitting in the tub in the evening with a few glasses of wine, very relaxing and romantic, will definitely be back later in the year.
Myself, husband and 3year old daughter spent a few days here. The cabin was perfect for us with 2 rooms and all the amenities we needed. The kitchen and bathroom were brand new and the living area was cosy and comfortable. The heating was fantastic and the cabin was spotlessly clean..with bedding etc provided.
The hot tub was just fantastic..very private and we spent all night relaxing there..which was even more fantastic as it was raining and yet we were so warm. The cabin location is way out in the wilderness, which provided a special feeling of excitement and adventure. The loch is literally at your door step and the walks are great. We spent time at Oban and fort William also...when we were able to pull ourselves out the hot tub.
Would definitely recommend a visit and will return...so much so we stayed a bit longer than anticipated.
Boat and bike hire are available nearby, there are also some wonderful walks to Inverliever Forest, the Avich Falls and the Oakwood Trail.
