Studio in Treen, St Levan, Porthcurno, Cornwall, England - The Studio Is A 30 Minute Walk To The Minack Theatre And A 3 Minute Walk To The Logan Rock Inn

The Architect designed Studio, which provides self catering and also B and B holidays is ideal for coastal walkers or for long and short stay holidays. Walkers can pre-order their breakfast requirements for them to prepare themselves. Coffee, tea and milk are provided free of charge. The breakfast ingredients will be charged as an at cost extra. A luggage transfer service is available through a local agent. Located on the West side of the Penberth valley in a designated area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The accommodation provides a centrally heated open plan living area complete with a double bed and two "Put Me Ups" if required. There are 2 dedicated car parking spaces as well as a fenced decked patio (suitable as a dog run) and a garden that leads directly into the beautiful wooded Penberth valley. A lock up shed is available for bikes and fishing gear etc. The famous Logan Rock Inn is a 3 minute walk and the bus stop 1 minute. The Minack Theatre, Pothcurno 25 minute or 5 by car. A maximum of 2 well behaved dogs are accepted. WiFi is available. All this is provided at the most competitive price in Treen inclusive of all bed linen, towels and utilities etc.

Jeff Hardman a retired Chartered Architect is the owner of the self catering cottages 4 and 6 Harbour Mews, Sennnen Cove and The Studio,Treen St Levan TR19 6LQ. The Harbour Mews complex was designed and developed by Jeff and completed in 2002 and the studio in Treen in 2009

Jeff retired as a practising Architect in 2002 having worked extensively in the Middle East including Qatar and Abu Dhabi. He has been letting self catering properties in the area for more than 30 years. He appreciates the guests requirements of a holiday property and believes that their expectations are more than fulfilled when holidaying in his Cottages in Sennen Cove or the Studio Treen.

A beauty comfortable little cottage with everything you need and more.

Jeff is a warm and welcoming host and staying at the studio felt like home with the personal touches he adds to. It's really lovely. We loved our stay here. Far enough from the maddening crowds but close enough if you want them. I can't praise the studio and Jeff highly enough.

Good, great position and excellent local facilites, pub, shop, bus and of course amazing coast line.

The property is great for two people, has lovely views, good parking, pleasant garden and seated patio. It is petit in scale, but a well designed bed sit with good kitchen. Equipment was fine though not much hanging space if you have wet weather.

The owner provided enough basics, linen etc and welcomed us with a smile and a helpful attitude.

Locally the pub is good, serves lots of food and good drinks, the cafe in the village is great, with lots of local food and you can get local milk, bread and some vegetables form road side selling in the village.

The cliff and beaches are as brilliant as ever, local bus service means you can get around the Penwith and walk back!

“In short: Jeff's studio, its location and his hosting were all ideal. I could not recommend the experience highly enough. To be more detailed: I stayed in Jeff's studio for one month. On the studio -- Extremely well-appointed. The studio contains everything you might need. Nice shower, great bed, kitchen full of appliances/dishes, good WIFI, great views, nice little private deck in the back, washing machine, washer, and clothes line out front. On the location -- Treen was described to me (by one of the locals) as the "most gentle place in all of Cornwall" and I could not agree more. Jeff's place is connected to the village of Treen, which itself contains one great pub, a large farm where you can buy very fresh milk and eggs every day, a campsite with a store full of all sorts of goods and small café, among a few other private places. From Jeff's the walk to Porthcurno is about 20 minutes, but it's a glorious walk, along the some of the most gorgeous country I've seen. And, closer than Porthcurno are other little coves/beaches, one of which has an amazing sand bar at low tide, and which I would rate higher than Porthcurno. Even closer still is head land of grand proportions that you can hike on called Logan's Head. The stars come out at night, are big an bright. The air is extremely fresh and clean. The neighbourhood is very quiet and peaceful. And everyone just seemed to take kindness to nth degree. I should also add that out Jeff's backyard is an enormous valley/forest, full of wild streams, horses and cows, which is obviously great to hike through too. On Jeff the host -- Jeff was highly responsive and professional, but also open and kind. He was easy to communicate with, answered all of my questions, gave me recommendations on places to visit, walk, hike and also offered to drive me a few places too. Five Stars! Do it! But please be kind when you arrive too. Treen is a gem that we should all work to take care of.”

Owner's Response: Drew booked the Studio early in 2016 for 30 days. He is a young American Lawyer who wanted to discover a bit more about life. I was really pleased that everything about his time here was so appreciated and expressed so eloquently in his review. 25 percent of the total cost taken as a deposit. With final payment made 6 weeks prior to date of arrival. Payment accepted by cheque or BACS payment direct into the owners account.

Changeover Day:
Saturday change over but flexible to suit the guest.

Notes on prices:
The Studio is available for booking on a weekly or daily basis either as self catering or B and B. On the B and B basis the owner provides the produce as requested by the guest which they prepare and enjoy at their leisure. As a guide, the cost including the breakfast for 1 night is £80.00 for 2 people. However, depending on the length of stay rates can be negotiated.

  • 100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
