Fantastic little break away in a beautiful little cottage. Done up to a really good spec and set in a sleepy little village. Some great long and short walks on the doorstep. Great hosts and would highly recommend
Thanks for the kind comments, a pleasure to host you, hope you'll visit again in the near future. Best wishes Steve & Debbie
Great little place
This review is for Orchard View due to an upgrade by Stephen. Lovely cottage we both enjoyed it very much and wished we’d booked for longer. Looked after very well by Stephen and Debbie, thank you.
Excellent, well equipped and exceptionally clean cottage
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Lovely location, helpful friendly owners with excellent village pub nearby.
Lovely little cottage!
We stayed for one night for our mini moon. steve, the host was very helpful advising us where to go/ eat. Only thing we would say we struggled finding the property as it isn’t signposted from the lane. The area is quiet, perfect for dog walkers and ramblers, cottage is very cute had everything we needed, bath is fantastic and overall we had a great relaxing break. Would have liked to stay longer. Thank you steve! we will be back

Beautiful cottage and a wonderful stay, wish we had longer!
On arrival we were greeted by Steve who welcomed us and showed us around! The cottage is absolutely lovely! Very clean and tidy. We went on a couple of walks from the property, one only a quick 20 minute one - perfect for an evening walk with the dog! We only stayed for 3 nights but wish we could have stayed longer and hope to return with family!
Property was very well appointed, very clean and friendly greeting by owners
This is a lovely cottage if you require a complete get away from it all. Very quite and tranquil. Cottage had everything you required for your comfort. The owners greet you very warmly, and make you feel they could be contacted with any problems, without intruding on your break. My two beagles also enjoyed the ability to roam in large contained area of garden.
Newcastle, Manchester and Carlisle are the closest airports. Excellent rail communications via the main west coast line. Appleby sits on the world famous Carlisle - Settle railway. Road access from the M6 junction 38 is 15 minutes away, providing a gateway to Scotland, the A66 trans Pennine road again 15 minutes drive away allowing easy access to the east coast for visits to Durham, Newcastle and York.
The cottages are five minutes walk from the centre of the village, where you'll find the school, church and pub.
