Exceptional design features include a glass-enclosed spiral staircase with a futuristic, curved doorway to the open-plan galley-style kitchen and sitting/dining area with access to the balcony. Private, secured parking is an additional benefit.

The bright bedrooms have been equipped with luxurious cotton bed linen and high quality mattresses (one double, one super kingsize); and the house is set in a small and tranquil development, so your good night’s sleep is ensured.

The location could not be better for your trip to Lincoln: Within a minute you reach the castle walls, and after 5 minutes you find yourself at the cathedral and on Steep Hill. In the evenings you can enjoy a wealth of international bars and restaurants in the popular Bailgate area, only steps away from the Beehive.

With the well equipped fitted kitchen you might equally put your feed up for a night in. You will not need your car in Lincoln and the house benefits from an allocated parking space (which is a bonus in Lincoln). A shuttle bus going to all major attractions up- and downhill stops just some steps from the house. We bought the property beginning of 2014 because we were fascinated by the modern, eco-friendly design and very pleased to find this quiet spot so close to the hustle and bustle of the cathedral quarters in Lincoln. We hope you will enjoy The Beehive as much as we do!

What makes this house unique

Location, location, location! We just love to walk around the corner and stand right there in front of the castle, walk some steps and see the cathedral looming.

Beautiful modern property centrally located and a few minutes away from the historic quarter of Lincoln. A safe designated car parking space is a particularly appealing feature for anyone who has concerns about car safety and it is possible to spend a short break without further need for driving.

The Cathedral is a must see, the Castle worth visiting (currently this is being upgraded and subject to renovation) and Steep Hill will certainly test your fitness.

Lincoln is a hidden gem and somewhere that I would recommend visiting. York and Chester seem to have better PR but Lincoln is their equal. There is nowhere better I can think of to stay when visiting Lincoln than The Beehive, hope to be back.

We were blessed with wonderful weather on our first visit to Lincoln and the lucky choice of selecting the Beehive as our bolt-hole to explore the City made for a wonderful week.

The Beehive is a model of quiet and comfort where a safe and central staircase takes you effortlessly from the lower en suite bedroom via the kitchen/dining area to the main bedroom at the top.

Quiet and comfortable

Very good location and very quiet in spite of busy main road at end of close.

Beds very comfortable, and good, efficient shower and bathroom.

Kitchen easy to use and well equipped. Only negative is the poor quality of wine glasses, something which is easily remedied.

Plenty of good cafes and restaurants within easy walking distance, and rear entrance to castle only a very short walk away.

In summary, a very clean well cared for town house, in a great location. Would recommend it to anyone.

Different, unusual and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

It was a stunning townhouse, all facilities and very well placed for castle, museums and Cathedral. Definite bonus in this city - it had a reserved parking place. Would highly recommend it, although stairs could be a slight problem for anyone with limited mobility.

Really pleased to have found The Beehive! What a perfect house for myself and my daughter to stay at. Cannot fault it - really, really nice place, and thoroughly recommended to anyone looking for a fresh, clean, contemporary place to stay, in a great location, with guaranteed parking! The Beehive is a fantastic place to stay!! It was very clean and the beds were very comfortable!

The Beehive is in a perfect location. We were able to walk to all the major attractions, the cathedral, the castle, and Steep Hill, just to mention a few.

The Beehive is located in a very quiet neighborhood so our sleep was not interrupted. The winding staircase in the middle of the house was awesome! There are plenty of restaurants nearby also.

I would definitely recommend the Beehive as a fantastic place to stay when visiting the beautiful city of Lincoln!! My family and I would definitely stay there again if we visit next year!!

Perfect stay for a long weekend away

We (family of 3) spend a lovely 3 days at the Beehive in Lincoln. We could not have found a quieter place, more central with only in 2mins walking distance from the Castle and Cathedral square. The house is stunning, modern design, light, open and airy through the glass staircase that goes through the house. The house has three floors, smartly separated in two private areas one bedroom with bathroom at the ground floor and the same at the top, and the living room and kitchen in the middle so you can meet half way. We stayed in the upstairs master bedroom, which has a very large & super-comfy bed and a spacious wardrobe, the bathrooms are top-notch, modern and spotless. In the Kitchen we found all necessary equipment to cock a meal (fridge, hob, oven, microwave) and easily clean (dishwasher), all cutlery, kettle, toaster, coffeemaker... We have not missed anything during our stay.

Lincoln is a beautiful town for a short stay or a holiday week as there is lots to do in and around the town. You can hire bikes, go on boat trips and in town there is so much to see that you are easily occupied for 3-4 days, in good or bad weather. There are outdoor events, walks in the parks with stunning views and museums and art collections. We loved the Collection, as it has a fab play room for youngsters, where they can dress up, read about art and history and make things. Also worth a visit the Museum of Lincolnshire Life were they have created show rooms of how people lived, worked and learned in Victorian times and they also have an impressive transport collection. Both have free entrance. We are definitely planning to come back to explore more of this town. For foodies I recommend Olé Olé in the old town quarter, a little Spanish Tapas bar with good-sized, delicious tapas dishes and very friendly service people incl. the owner who comes out to greet and chat with his guests. Busy place, reserve early.

We are definitely planning to come back to explore more of this town and would recommend the house to friends and family.
