My husband and I bought West Fossil Barn and its outbuildings in 1992 and set about converting the derelict barns into a home and holiday lets. We eventually completed Bramble and it's sister Tanglewood in 2007, since when they have been available for holiday rental.
We now live in West Fossil Barn with our daughters, two dogs, a cat and also have three horses in our paddock to the front of Bramble and Tanglewood.
Nicky Busst purchased this barn in 1993
We found some derelict barns for sale and thought the opportunity of converting them into a home was too good to miss.
We are delighted with the results and so glad we took on the project.
The Barns are in a rural setting but local shops are only a mile away; walking distance if you're feeling energetic.
Wake up to the sound of birds twittering and the buzz of bees. Breakfast in the sunshine on the South facing patio.
Enjoy local produce, which can be delivered to the Barn by local suppliers in readiness for your arrival. Just ask for information when booking.
We spent two weeks at Tanglewood. It is in an ideal location to explore the many attractions of Dorset. There are quite a few local bars and restaurants. We enjoyed the Sailors Return, The Red Lion and many others. Tanglewood was a most welcome and comfortable retreat after a busy day. Thank you very much Nicky
