Timber cabin in Worthen, near Shrewsbury in south Shropshire.Top of Back Lane out of Worthen - Set in a location known for its natural outstanding beauty and with far reaching views.

Ideally located for anyone who enjoys the countryside, this beautiful retreat is a must visit for great views. Positioned in south Shropshire to enjoy the rural get away from it all location, the lodge is reached via a country lane and is adjacent to but quite separate from the family farm which is situated at the end of the lane. There is a small deck to sit and enjoy the views up and down the valley. The cabin has ramp access and is all on one level.

Bedroom 1 has a king sized bed. Bedroom 2 has 2 single beds. Bedroom 3 has a double bed. Bedroom 4 has a single bed. Pets beds can be put ready if required. High chair and travel cot available. Hand towels in cloak rooms but no other towels provided unless requested. Please email if you have any questions or requirements.

Please note we are one of the quirky unreliable post codes, please do not rely on sat nav directions. You need to be on the B4386 Shrewsbury to Montgomery road. In the village of Worthen take the turn into Back Lane,(just opposite the Londis store ) continue along Back Lane for just over a mile and Hampton Hayes is located at the top of the hill, the lane ends once you have reached the property. It would be helpful to pack a torch as the nights draw in. Thanks

Hi my name is Bev, Hampton Hayes is a 200 acre hill farm.Barry my husband rears beef cattle & sheep. We also have a small boarding kennels & cattery. Wednesdays 9.00 to 3.00 we host activity days for special needs people, about 8 visitors. We do seasonal activities{ making jams/chutneys, bottle feeding lambs, gardening, arts & crafts. We enjoy meeting people and sharing stories. Our values: "we are each a stitch in the beautiful tapestry of life, some stitches might be more vibrant than others, but all stitches are needed to form the full picture" We try where possible to meet your requirements. please ask, any questions/directions email. Whilst the lodge is comfortable it isn't a high end luxury hotel (price reflects) Its a rustic cabin set in stunning countryside, and we welcome you.

We are situated at the end of the lane, so any traffic up the lane is to see us, we are south facing so get good sun, the views are far reaching .

Whilst we seem to be in the depths of beautiful countryside, we are only 1.5 miles from the village and approx 15 miles from the market towns of Shrewsbury, Welshpool & Montgomery which allows us feel we have the best of both worlds. Ideal for persons loving country walks, artists, professionals needing to wind down.

Outside: There is a decked area with table and chairs to sit and enjoy the stunning views over the valley. There is also a fenced lawned area. There are numerous footpaths running nearby for walks in the hills. Your safety around the farm is our constant concern and you will need to be vigilant with young children where farm machinery is in use or farm vehicles are manoeuvring.

                                                lovely couple, very relaxed about the fact we had 4 dogs! the accommodation was all we could have asked for . 2 bathrooms, nice living space. there were 7 adults and we got on fine. the house is up a steep lane that tested us when we went out walking for the day!

                                                We stayed at the dragonfly lodge, 5 adults,2 children and 4 dogs. The accommodation is superb, so spacious and comfortable. The outdoor seating is great and the area and location is spectacular. We would thoroughly recommend this cabin.

                                                This property is set in a beautiful location on a lovely farm. We went with 4 children under 6 and a puppy! We were made to feel very welcome and the kids even got a turn on the digger! (Highlight of their summer!) They loved being able to go and feed the goat and donkey everyday and the enclosed garden was great for a run around with a view. Would definitely recommend this beautiful lodge to anyone!

                                                Had a lovely few days here for a family christening nearby. We were 3 adults, 2 children and a dog and all had enough room to roam around. Great enclosed garden for the children and dog, lovely exploring the farm seeing Lucy the donkey (who the 5 year old loved feeding) goats, pigs, sheep and cows. Couple of things to note: have to request towels (we'd missed this on the website but Barry kindly brought some over along with the travel cot- thankyou), smoke alarm is very sensitive as too close to the kitchen area so goes off every 5 minutes when cooking. Floor is very creaky so had to creep around when the toddler was sleeping so as not to wake him up. Cabin is well equipped and had everything we needed and is very comfortable. Thanks for a lovely stay! Views are phenomenal!! A great treat compared to the London views!! Will definitely recommend to friends!

                                                A wonderful place to stay in a fabulous location with lovely owners. The views are simply stunning- watching the sun rising over the hills was beautiful. The lodge is a home from home, with all the things you need for a comfortable stay. A very handy outside decked area as well as a garden are great for enjoying the views with a meal or simply letting your dog have a wander in safety! The owners are great, very welcoming & available if you need them. A really peaceful spot- we highly recommend a stay at Dragonfly Lodge- you honestly won't be disappointed!!
