Situated in the village of Weybourne surrounded by woodland and heathland, the area provides excellent opportunities for walking and birdwatching.

The bungalow is within a short walking distance to the village shop which provides all your essential groceries and serves delicious take away coffee and pastries. Weybourne is also served by tea rooms and the local pub 'The Ship Inn' serves excellent food. The pebble beach is a short stroll away and this links you onto the North Norfolk Coastal Path.

Also at Weybourne is the Muckleburgh Collection, the UK's largest collection of historic tanks, armoured cars and other military vehicles, housed at Weybourne Camp.

About Jane Smith

As a family of four with two teenage girls, a break at the bungalow gives us the perfect opportunity to unwind and spend some quality family time together without all the usual day to day distractions!

Although we have been going to Weybourne for a few years now, we never tire of the beauty of the Norfolk Coast. There are plenty of things there we still need to discover but it's also nice going to places we've been before.

We enjoy walking along the Coastal Path to Sheringham and always treat ourselves with a well deserved ice cream! The journey back is often on the Coast Hopper bus which stops in Weybourne so its an ideal way to travel.

Jane Smith purchased this bungalow in 2012

Why Jane Smith chose Weybourne

Going to the bungalow provides the perfect opportunity to unwind with our family. There are many things to do in the area so whether we want to go exploring or just stay in the bungalow with a good book it provides us with the perfect base.

What makes this bungalow unique

The local pub and village shop are a great asset to have on your doorstep and it is lovely to be able to walk down into the village for a meal. Another bonus with the bungalow is the fact that it sits on the 'Coasthopper' bus route which is great for exploring other villages. We use it quite often after a walk along the cliffs to Sheringham and then hop on the bus back! The park that the bungalow is in is lovely and tranquil and a great place to relax and unwind.

Coast/Beach:

Weybourne beach is within walking distance. It is a shingle beach, not suitable for swimming but is good for fishing. Dogs are welcome here. Sheringham has a sandy beach and is approximately 3 miles walk along the cliff tops. In the car it takes about 7 minutes. Wells-next-the-Sea is approximately 25 minutes by car and here you will find a lovely stretch of Sandy beach. There is also an area here where dogs are allowed.

Travel:

Nearest Airport - Norwich which is approximately 1 hour away by car. Use of a car is recommended but not essential as there is a fantastic bus service. The Coastal Hopper bus takes you along the Coast from Kings Lynn to Cromer! There is a stop in Weybourne, just 5 minutes walk away from the bungalow.

Just about all we needed for an uncomplicated, restful, get away from it all, getaway weekend.

Good to get back to this stretch of the caost after so many years. Our retired guide dogs are elderly now and cannot do stairs or long walks, we were all together to take a long overdue break near the sea from the midlands, a short drive from the beach. My wife had a tank drive at the Mucklebrough Collection to tick off her list as a suprise, the local shop staff and villagers were very freindly and helpful, this magnificent coast with it's distinctive character is like an old friend we have not seen for some time but is still there just the same. Thankyou, we felt at home straight away, settled and comfortable staight away.

Lovely.

  • 5 of 5

The bungalow had everything we needed.

Bright , airy and a nice quiet location.

Only down side was the bed was a bit hard and we thought the loo was a little too near the wall.

A wall clock would have been helpful in the main living area and it would have been nice to have a blind or curtain at the main door to pull across at night as the door has plain glass which gives a beautiful view by day but by night the door is opposite the loo door and although not overlooked you feel quite exposed.

We had a lovely time and our Dotty dog was very relaxed and happy .

The bungalow was well equipped and it was lovely to have a telly in the bedroom for relaxing in the evening.

The seat outside was really nice to sit on with the dog and listen to the quiet.

Thank you for a lovely stay.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the review Julie. I'm glad you enjoyed your break and found the bungalow had everything you needed. I will take on board your comments and see what I can do - unfortunately I think the toilet will have to stay put! I hope to welcome you, Mark and Dotty back if you are ever in the area again. Jane.
