About Barbara Bacon
White Ladies was our family holiday home for 15 years. We enjoyed many holidays and long weekends in our home so much so that we decided to move to Stoke Fleming and enjoy our retirement in Devon.
Barbara Bacon purchased this Apartment in 2000
Why Barbara Bacon chose Stoke Fleming
A family holiday home for holidays and short breaks.
What makes this Apartment unique
The convenience of being in a lovely village and close to beaches and places to visit.
This was our first break in the UK after selling our touring caravan and I was nervous! About whether the accommodation would be as described and up to ‘our standards’ - I needn’t have worried! This place is amazing!!
White Ladies is immaculately clean - and I MEAN IMMACULATE! Not a speck of dust anywhere! Comfy, fresh smelling beds and well decorated and furnished right through.
We met the owners a couple of times who were incredibly helpful and welcoming - the bottle of wine and chocs on arrival are a lovely little touch!
Stoke Fleming is a gorgeous little village and can recommend The Green Dragon pub and Radius7 restaurant (right next door) for food.
Just a shame that the beautiful looking Blackpool Sands down the road is not sandy at all (pebbly beach) - we had to go a little bit further afield to build sandcastles!!
Thank you for your lovely comments. So glad you enjoyed your break.
A very nice apartment every need catered for. Area good for visiting places shame road to Slapton shut which was my reason for visiting Devon, making it a much longer drive, seems the road will be shut this summer season. Restaurant next door excellent, visiting and chips outstanding best ever, local pub very generous with their portions. Thankyou to Barbra for the use of a lovely home.
Glad you enjoyed your break. Thank you so much for leaving the apartment so clean and tidy. Regards Barbara
Lovely base for a Devon break
We booked last-minute and are so glad we did. This was a great place for a family break: nice flat with thoughtful touches; lovely owners; beaches and sights within a short drive. Highly recommended.
Thanks Alison. Glad the weekend went well. Best wishes Barbara
We had a lovely stay.
White ladies was super. Perfect for my husband and I and 2 children. The apartment had everything we needed and was warm. We were slightly out of season and the weather wasn’t amazing but we had a fantastic holiday. Boat up the dart to greenways. Cream tea in Dartmouth. Black pool sands for beach and lunch. Bigbury on sea for sand castles lunch and walk. Mill bay near salcombe for a super morning on the beach.
We would definitely stay at white ladies again.
Glad you enjoyed your holiday. Thank you for your lovely comments.
Very nice clean and comfortable apartment
Really enjoyed our 3 night stay...loads of room for my mum and me. Nice welcome of a bottle of wine and chocolates...gratefully received after a wet and foggy journey.
Glad you enjoyed the weekend. Thanks for leaving everything so tidy.
