Bungalow in Cowes, Isle of Wight, England - Peaceful Location

The famous town of cowes is well known for one of the worlds main yaughting centres. With racing going on nearly every weekend of the summer, leading up to the main event which is cowes week, at the beginning of august, where they also have the round the island race. The power boat race is usually the following week. Thousands of people ascend for the great racing and fantastic party like atmosphere, which has a fabulous firework display to celebrate the last day of cowes week. Our bungalow is only ten minutes walk away from the heart of the activities, providing you with two off road parking spaces and with the peace and quiet to sleep and the closeness to party. The bungalow has just been renovated inside and out and furnished to make a comfortable home from home experience. With two spacious bedrooms which sleep four, have enough room for a travel cot that can be provided and plenty of wardrobe space. The lounge kitchen diner has a large corner double sofa bed with linen if requested. A large extendable dinning table with four chairs and two foldaway chairs comfortably seats six with room for a high chair if required, again this can be provided if requested. There is a TV with a built in DVD player and wireless broadband. The shower room has a wc, basin and mirror with a shaving point. With a brand new fitted kitchen with everything you will need to prepare meals if you decide not to sample some of the varied restaurants in the town. Gas Central heating to keep you warm when needed and the water nice and hot. Leading out of the kitchen door is a spacious and secure garden, with a patio seating area and newly laid lawn, providing a safe place for children to play while adults enjoy a BBQ in this all day long sun trap.

Lovely and convenient

Lovely cottage. Perfect space and very clean. Close to shops and restaurants and the bus line. I highly recommend this listing for a holiday stay any time of year. Owners and housekeeper were very accommodating.

Perfect holiday retreat

We had a lovely short break over the half term holiday. The bungalow was perfect for us, spotlessly clean, comfortable and well equipped. The toys and games were an unexpected bonus and kept my grandsons occupied in the evening after busy days out. It was my first visit to the I.O.W. and it certainly came up to my expectations. The bungalow was perfectly situated for getting out and about and very handy for walking into Cowes for shopping and eating out etc.

Wonderful Isle of Wight accommodation

6 Laurel Estates is an absolute gem. Very well appointed, warm and cosy, nothing seems to have been left out of what is provided. In many years of renting holiday accommodation we've never had soap, washing up liquid, salt and pepper provided before. The beds are comfortable, the shower is great (we've stolen the idea of the small squeegee to clean the glass enclosure, bought one in Cowes and now use it at home). Would be ideal for those with families as there is a supply of toys and games for all ages. The enclosed garden is great for outside dining and relaxation, though we ate out other than breakfasts. An excellent choice of local places to eat and drink plus the many wonderful attractions of the island an easy drive away. When we next visit the I.o.W. we'll make sure to book this place to stay.

Relaxing. Enjoyed by three generations

Thank you for a lovely stay in your blue bungalow. Everything was so easy (and clean), which made for a relaxing holiday. The children loved the games and toys. Everything in the kitchen, living room, bathroom and bedrooms was well thought out. Even the shed was straight forward, with easy access to the sun loungers in the sun trap garden.

Three generations were able to enjoy every aspect of our stay.

2 min drive to chain bridge and further 2 mins to ferry.

Further Details:

Cowes town centre is only a 10 mins walk or a 2 min drive, it has loads of shops, bars and restaurants. There are also 2 supermarkets and many banks. Cowes has lovely craft shops and sailing shops. There are lovely walks along the sea front to Egypt point and gurnard. You can also watch the yachts on the Solent every day.

Booking Notes:
Bookings generally run from Saturday to Saturday. Upon confirmation of booking, a binding contract is created between us for the full rental and non-returnable 50% payment of the full rental charge is due by return post. Refundable £150 security deposit required with final balance payment. Email address or home address and phone number required to secure booking. The full balance must be recieved by us six weeks before the rental starts. Deposit returned once our house keeper is happy.

Changeover Day:
Our usual changeover day is Saturday from 1500 hrs on date of arrival to 1000hrs on the date of departure . We can discuss alternative times for shorter bookings.

Notes on prices:
All prices are in £ per week. Short breaks are available on request min 3 nights, please contact owner for rates. NB Prices may be subject to change at the advertisers discretion.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date.
  • 100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
