We are Gill and Gordon. Our beautiful cottage has been in our family for the past 19 years and we have enjoyed holidaying every year with our kids at this magical place on the Northumbrian Coast.
Gill purchased this Cottage in 1996
Why Gill chose Easington
We have family connections in Northumberland so this has been an ideal base for visiting family while enjoying a relaxing holiday in the most beautiful surroundings. We love the rural setting but also enjoy being close enough to the surrounding towns and villages where we can appreciate good food, the stunning coastline and also the history which Northumberland is famous for from the story of Grace Darling, to the monks of Lindisfarne and onto the spectacular Bamburgh Castle which you can't fail to be impressed by. We love to walk whether it be along the beach, or further inland to the crags above Belford, St Cuthberts cave or the beautiful Langleeford just outside Wooler and all within a 20 minute drive from our cottage.
What makes this Cottage unique
Millstone cottage is set within a small hamlet, there is private parking, a beautiful flowing burn which runs past the back garden and from where you can enjoy a spot of fishing and here is where you may also spot the spectacular Kingfisher. We are located on Budle Bay which is a very popular spot for bird watchers and from here you can begin your walk along the coastline which will take you to Bamburgh then onto Seahouses

Fantastic cottage, excellent location
Loved everything about cottage, home from home, very well equipped, lovely clean fresh bed linen and towels, conservatory comfortable to just sit and relax and watch birds and pigs. Great location for exploring the Northumberland coast, bamburgh castle, holy island and much more in easy reach. Would highly recommend, wished I’d booked for longer than 3 nights, great cottage.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review. I have to agree that the conservatory is indeed a marvellous place to sit, relax and watch the wonders of nature and very occasionally spot a magnificent king fisher, if your very lucky! Please come back for longer next time there's still so much for you to see and do in beautiful Northumberland.
Absolute relaxing ideal and beautiful cottage
From the moment we entered the cottage we could feel the amazing atmosphere, just the ticket for us, a well decorated spotless and tasteful cottage with everything we needed for a comfortable care free stay, well equipped kitchen, cosey lounge with three double sofas, good media centre,so relaxing surroundings, very nice bedrooms, comfortable double bed, very quiet, no noise, best nights sleep I have had for ages with superb conservatory, and a great rear garden equipped with well maintained decking, table and chairs, lawn with loungers etc, very spacious indeed, with beautiful views of the Burn with the relaxing sound of the flowing water, brilliant! we just loved it and are sorting dates out for our next two visits. and the owner could not be more helpful. Thank you so much.
Beautiful and Stunning
The cottage is gorgeous, cosy and homely. Everything you could need is here. The burn outside the cottage was a source of natural entertainment. We were lucky enough to spot a rare bird, Little Bittern, which caused a flurry of bird watchers who were the nicest people.
Cosy comfortable cottage
Only had a short stay at this lovely clean comfortable cottage. Our first trip to Northumberland. Gill was very helpful and answered all my questions fully. Don’t hesitate to book this secluded hamlet. Loved our stay. Only downside was it was too short.
Home from home. Very comfortable with everything you need.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very quiet location which suits us. Lovely to sit out in the good weather. Garden catches the sun. Lots to see in the area. Plenty of places to eat out.
Sounds like you had a lovely break. Thank you so much for your kind words.
Such a lovely relaxing holiday home in a great location. We had a wonderful long weekend , walked for miles along the beautiful beaches and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We will definitely return for a longer stay.
Thank you so much for visiting our little piece of paradise. So glad you had such an enjoyable break and look forward to seeing you back in the future for some more exploring and relaxation.
